An antique Japanese Okidoko (display stand for a Tokonoma, a reception room) made of Kakinoki (Persimmon) and Keyaki (Zelkova) woods. Originally it was used to showcase Ikebana flower arrangements, special porcelain vases, Japanese sculptures, or seasonal displays. A Very Large/Heavy/ Fine Chinese Dark Spinach Jade Seal(?)with a Fitted Box: China. A very heavy large jade carved in high relief with a recumbent mythical beast on a square formed dark spinach nephrite jade for a paper weight or seal?, with some natural fissure lines, soft yellow hued stome marked and an opaque creamy white patch line on the top. It’s in good condition without any chips. Meaures:18cm x 18cm across face , and 11cm high, weighs 8.8 lbs (4 kgs) respectably.

This knife was created from one large piece of flint; using localized pressure (as opposed to striking the blade with a hammerstone), a craftsman precisely removed small flakes of flint to produce the ripple-flake on both sides and serrated cutting edge. This bade is typical of the Naqada II to 2nd Dynasty style, ca. 3,500 - 2,686 B.C....

Dragons charge the sides of this large water urn covered in crackled pale glaze emblazoned with a panel which specifies: Water for the 11 Faced Kannon (Quanyin). Inside is lined with iron glaze. Outside key frets surround the rim leading to a nearly flat shoulder upon which blossom five petaled plum flowers.
