A Chinese pottery pear-shaped vase of yuhuchunping form, covered in an attractive mirror-black glaze finishing above the foot to reveal the thin pale brown slip. 17cms. Yuan dynasty. Acquired in Cape Cod, USA, in 1998.

Silver cocktail shaker with strainer and detachable cap. Embossed decoration of a dragon and a round cartouche with monogram on a shagreen simulating ground. Base marked "Nanking", mark of the Nanking Silver Store in Shanghai. Condition: the cap with one, the foot and beaker's rim with small dents. Male attendant figure made for interment to assist with the afterlife of the tomb’s upper-class occupant. Earthenware with glassy, low-fired glaze on the garment portion with some patches of silvery iridescence that have developed over time due to burial in damp tombs over long periods. This figure has an unglazed head that was originally detachable but is now fixed in place with recent adhesives...

Beautiful and rare famille rose porcelain dish with very well painted figural and landscaping decoration. Qianlong six characters reign mark and of the period. Condition: Excellent, there are small chips on the foot rim, it looks like that these chips were already there before the enamel applied. Please refer to the enlargements to confirm this. Covered bowl in lacquered wood covered with black lacquer (roiro) decorated with stylized flowers and fans in gold powder. The artist used several shades of gold to give relief to his creation. On the fans are carefully drawn tiny patterns, waves, plants and turtles (minogame) surrounding a moon (or a sun). A lovely and rare pottery bowl or bassin depicting domesticated cheetahs or leopards, Indus Valley, probably Nal culture, 3rd. millenium BC.

The vessel finely decorated overall with three felines with spotted furs, and chained to small symbolic trees. Larger trees as spacers and a band of Ibexes above. Concenthric decoration near the wide rim, all in brown on a beige ground.

Antique 19th century Qing Dynasty Chinese opium pipe formed from long cylindrical lacquered bamboo tube with jade end and mouthpiece, the white metal saddle, adorned with finely carved sculpture of rat eating fruits.

A Bronze elephant under attack by two tigers, one tiger is on his back, and one is under his front foot. The elephant has a finely chased hide and original ivory tusks, and the tigers have etched bronze strips. There is a makers mark inscribed on the bottom of the elephant's right front foot which says "Jonon"(south castle). The okimono measures about 7" wide x 7 1/2" tall, and dates to the Meiji Period.
