Rare fragment of a large faience sistrum. The fragment is the upper part
of a large faience sistrum with two hawks above side by side bearing the sun disk.
It is seldom to find a sistrum which is surmounted with gods or sacred animals.
A sistrum with a similar upper part is in the Eaton College Myer Collection (ECM1693), see last picture.

Choice red-ware rim fragment featuring a beautifully detailed lion. The feline approaches with a forward-turned front body.
The head with delicate detail and a shaggy mane. Shaggy strands on the elbow joint.
Excellent modeling of the musculature and great rendering of the panther-like fur pattern depicted with tiny circles.
For almost the same lion on an Orpheus bowl, cf. 1981.658 in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Statue of a Yakshi, or Yakshini, wearing a necklace and a dhoti, standing under a flowering ashoka tree and holding a branch with her left hand. Bronze, with dark green and red partly encrusted patina and with some soil encrustation. India, ca. 2nd-1st century BC. Height: 15.2 cm. The statue is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Very good condition.

Broad redware dish rim fragment depicting a very fine and detailed shrub with berries. The relief decoration was taken from a separate mold and applied to the almost flat rim.
The fragment belongs to the rim of a large dish with a calculated diameter of ca. 39 cm (15.4 in). A groove runs along the outer edge.

Unusual Archaic Chinese round jade carving, dated from the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC–24 AD), incised with wonderful scenes of a grinning man holding a Ruyi scepter, riding on the back of a chimera on one side, and on the other side is a woman dancing while a man beside her plays the flute. A fantastic piece with excellent detailing and character. Thin in design.

A rare jade archer,s ring, which to me is the actual archers ring used with the bow and arrow rather then the better know thumb ring which is more a piece of jewelry. It was used on the thumb, that's where the "thumb ring" comes from and more than likely on a gloved hand due to the size. See the last three photos of a similar one in a Chinese jade book.
