French T&V Tressemanes & Vogt Limoges Porcelain Serving Bowl and matching underplate, Ca. 1907-1919, 2 1/4" high, 5 3/8" diameter top rim for bowl and 7 1/4" diameter, 3/4" high for under plate, hand painted Blueberry design, entire surface is painted except bottom is white glazed with fluted rim, marked "T&V Limoges, France, Depose" in green on the bottom. The condition is good.

A beautifully carved and gilt boxwood figure of Guan Yin / Guanyin. The goddess is holding the holy Buddhist scripture and has placed her hand between the open pages. China, Republic period, c 1920. The surface of the carving is covered with a thin layer of red that mixes with the gilt. The figure can be fixed to an oval wooden stand. Height (the stand not included) "4 ¾ / 12.3 cm. Condition: fine.

French Art Deco vase made by CAB (Ceramique d'Art de Bordeaux) for Ovington, New York, circa 1920. Incised "CAB", "323"?, and "Made in France" in a square, also inscribed "Ovington New York" and "France". 7 1/2" high and 7" across. In excellent condition. Beautiful Uchikake (formal gown worn over a kosode kimono by the wealthy women of the Edo period) with a pair of peacocks and peonies, "the flowers of riches and honors". I am not sure how this gown was worn- with a loose belt or no belt, with the hem up or down? The gorgeous gowns that I have seen in photos (Mitsui Collection?) were maternity gowns for the Mitsui princess in the late Edo to Meiji period. Their maternity gowns had a skinny belt attached in the back...

An underglaze blue hand painted ”Ronda” pattern soft paste porcelain plate with a deep molded rib border and barbed edge. Though unmarked the painted pattern and the distinctive molding are typical of Tournai. The diameter is 8 inches (20.32 cm).

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Some wear and a little associated discoloration.

Chinese letter box made with huanghuali wood on the sides and another kind of rosewood on the top; the bottom of the box is of soft wood. Qing Dynasty. Condition: age cracks and small chips; trace of paint on the surface. Dimensions: 13-7/8 long X 8" wide X 2-3/4" high.

An attractive antique cone shaped 6-piece Lacquer Food Offering Bowl from Burma, 19th Century. Good overall condition, some wear due to age. This type of handmade lacquer offering bowl has 6 compartments which are removable and were used to make merit by offering various kinds of food to the monks in the temples. Beautiful Buddha statue carved from very light-toned wood, painted in pastel green, blue, yellow, green, orange, and pink, shown sitting upon a bench with budding flowers at his feet and blue swirling designs. 19th century Size: 31.5" tall, 13.5" wide

Antique Chinese Hardwood box with hinged wood doors, an interior shelf and a charming decoration on the bottom of two monkeys pulling on a shield with their tails interlaced in a scrolling pattern.There is a small handle on the top of the box with small feet. It measures 13" wide 8" deep 10" tall.

This set of 10 porcelain bowls and 10 plates was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges in 1914. Only one set is pictured, but the price includes the set of 10 matching bowls and plates. The plates measure 7 1/4 inches and the bowls are 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. The naturalistic design is an inspiration of the art nouveau period. A factory transfer of trumpet blossoms and vines spills across the surface of each piece...

DESCRIPTION: An antique Spanish Colonial style painted sheet metal mirror, 19th to early 20th C., continental Europe. From our European Collection, a good late 19th / early 20th century cast iron mirror, probably English. A charming but unpretentious piece that can complement many different styles of decor.

Size and Condition: 28 1/4 inches tall, 16 inches wide. Excellent condition, no repairs or restoration and the glass appears to be original: Some general wear to the ironwork commensurate with age as seen in the second close-up, but this only adds to the charm.
