Large Korean wooden statue of the Amida Buddha or Amitābha, also known as "The Buddha of Infinite Light." He was covered in an oyster shell pigment in order to smooth out the woodgrain, a red lacquer was applied over it, and finally a gold leaf topcoat was applied. An Hirado incense burner of squat globular form with three scroll feet and lion mask handles with a high domed reticulated cover surmounted by a Shishi and ball filial. The body of the koro decorated in underglaze blue with a Chinese “ko sometsuke” style landscape. The censer is in good condition without chips, restoration, but there are some firing flaws notably to the juncture of the legs and to the body of the koro, and a minor firing crack to the rim...

An early 18th Century deep dish with very fine porcelain body decorated in underglaze blue depicting a four clawed dragon, amongst cloud scrolls, in pursuit of a flaming pearl. This item was made in Jingdezhen, Jianxi province, during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723 - 1735). Condition - there are two hairline cracks (1.7 and 1.5 inches) and associated chips and frits to the rim in the area facing the dragon's right claw (please see enlargement no. 4). A rare Hutian Song dynasty qingbai - yingqing bowl with carved infant (wawa) and leaves or flower motif. rounded side with conical shape covered with light bluish white glaze, products of Hutian kiln.
Bowl is in good condition with two fine hairline at the rim, no chip, no restoration.

Tang Dynasty Changsha ware bowl.( 9th century ) Stoneware body decorated with a calligraphic floral motive in brown and green under a yellow ash glaze. Changsha type Henan. Found in a shipwreck near Belitung island, Palembang, Sumatra. D : 6 inc. Some glaze corroded.

A large Yuan dynasty longquan celadon dish, this dish has a flat bracketed rim and ribbed well, the foot ring and base are glazed apart from a wide ring for firing, the center is decorated with carved flower motif, also the well and outer part decorated with carved flower motif, dish covered with green glaze.
Dish is in very good condition no damage, no chip, no crack, no restoration, good glaze.

A late Ming dynasty jar with under glaze blue banding and decorated in typical Wucai style with over glaze iron red and green and yellow enamels depicting two phoenix in flight amongst styalized peoney foliage; there is a lotus scroll band on the shoulder. This item was made in China and probably exported to Europe circa 1600 -1640. Condition - there is an old repair to the brown dressed rim - no cracks and no further damages or restoration....

A bombe form bronze censer finely carved with four winged mythical animals and two fish. The base carries a Xuande reign mark but this item was made later, probably circa 1795-1850 during the reign of the Jiaqing or Daoguang emperors. Condition - very good - this item had been polished when we acquired it about eight years ago but is now regaining its patination; there are no damages or losses.
