A Chinese mirror mounted with an 19 century jade ruyi head plaque on the back and a belt hook as a handle.The former is finely carved with precious objects; the canopy, fish, vase of flowers, lotus and endless knot, the handle shows a dragon with lingzhi facing the chilong. A finely potted Zadou was in nice form.
Well glazed in golden tint, the ware obtained the time-enduring characteristics by immensely spread crackles, the iridescent effect reflected inside the body, the spiral-like scars left at the bottom (they were caused by the potter when they moved the vessel from the mill by a wire.) and the old-looking surface.
It was kept in perfect condition except some time-caused frets on the mouth rim...
