An iron, Ko-Tosho (early sword smith's) tsuba. The slightest taper from seppa dai towards rim. Pierced decoration. Purchased from Andy Quirt (ex Skip Holbrook collection) at the February 2016 Tampa show, he thought it depicted gourds. I guess the beholder might see different things. Very fine large Meiji Era Japanese porcelain bowl with a delicately painted floral motif accented with gold gilt highlights. The side of the bowl features cranes in various flying poses. There is an old staple and gold repair at the rim. Looking into the bowl it is not visible unless you are seriously looking for it. See last 2 photos. Bowl rings nicely. Signed on the bottom, this is a very large bowl measuring 12.5 inches across by 3.75" high.

A very rare round, domed ceramic chop ink container with paintings of "a hundred boys." The background is off-white with the paintings of the rotund little boys at play in cobalt blue. The surface is heavily crazed. Kangxi seal mark.

A fine Georgian mahogany rectangular tea caddy with bail handle and diamond shaped lock escutcheon. The interior is fitted with 2 compartments for holding tea, and a center receptacle for the cut glass mixing bowl which we deem to be of the period. Gold accents which we do not believe are inlays decorate the edges of the ivory knop lids. Condition is very good meaning that the wood has occasional blemishes, and the interior lining appears to be later than original, though still old...

With incredible detailing such as the thousands of individual hairs on each deer, piercing eyes, long strands of grass with intermingled berry shrubs and blossoming flowers. This 14K gold ladies' pocket watch features highly decorated case with a monogram of B whose enamel face displays Arabic numerals and a second hand. Japanese burl wood carving of a man with a large frog on his back, Gama Sennin. The man appears to be offering a peach in his hands as an offering. This is Rikushakukanban-kimono used in the Tohoku district for Edo period. This is dyed with the natural indigo plant which thick hemp has good. The cannabis fiber is spun by hand in this respect. As for this, a big folding fan and rope are expressed in Tsutsugaki. And the rope expressed in Tsutsugaki is active fantastically. A big folding fan and the active rope are very impressive. This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Vienna, Austria in 1804. Impressed numbers on the bottom of the saucer indicate this year. It has an underglaze cobalt blue bee hive marking on both pieces. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and is 1 3/4 inches high. The cup is 4 1/4 inches high, including the lid. The set is considered to be a “trembleuse” with the attached gallery holding the cup on the saucer. The borders on each piece have a molded basket weave pattern...
