A fine Persian nargileh water pipe cup "qalian" in conical form made of copper decorated in enamel against a gilt background. Showing four medaillons with portraits of youths among cartouches with floral bouquets or faces. Interior with clay, the foot with four lugs. A Tibetan bronze ceremonial bell, with a gilt vajra shaped handled, finely cast with the image of a bodhisattva's head, the top of the bell with low-relief Sanskrit characters on lotus petals, small vajra pattern along the fluted edges of the bell, and an inner lotus petal design with signature inside the bell where the clapper hangs.

This small hand painted picture on cloth, called a Tsakli was used for Buddhist religious instruction and rituals in Tibet. The back of the card has Tibetan writing...Obvious condition issues...This card and others listed on this site were all antique cards when they were brought out of Tibet in the 60's...roughly 3x 4 inches

Antique Tibetan Buddhist small reliquary in stupa form. Made of glass and covered with gold leaf, this votive offering would have once been housed in a larger container and placed at the foot of an architectural stupa acting as either a funeral mound or housing relics of an important person. The shape, with it's rounded body and terraced lid, imitate the larger stupa, a three dimensional mandala and symbol of Buddha.

Chinese 19th Century Glazed Stoneware Shipwreck Jar

Many years ago we bought a small group of jars of this type. We were told they dated to the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) and had been in storage, having several years earlier been recovered from a shipwreck off Thailand. To the base of each jar is written an inventory number (we were told around 200 of these jars were excavated but how accurate this is, we do not know)...

An intricately hand carved Chinese zitan or similar dark hardwood lid for a jar. There is an insurance number written on the inside of the lid, see last photo. In excellent condition, it measures approximately 2 inches (5.1 cm) high, 3"(7.6 cm) across at base, opening about 1.75" (4.4 cm). Dates 1800s

"Bun-in" is the last kiln for Joseon court. And there, high quality and sophisticated works were made. This piece with autumn flower has "wabi-sabi" feeling. In spite of damage of mouth, the repair part by lacquer and gold rather give more "wabi-sabi" feeling...

Pair of fine Chinese famille rose enameled porcelain plates, each plate contains four dragon panels surrounded by floral decorations, exterior also bears floral design, signed 'GUANGXU' and of the period. Size; Diameter of each plate is 4-3/4 inches, no visible condition issues and consistent with age.

19th century netsuke of a baying stag with its head turned back, its upper front teeth bared. Elegant carving with pure clean lines, excellent hairwork, wonderful depiction of volume of the deer body and his antlers, eyes inlaid in black horn, beautiful patina. Himotoshi is formed by its feet. Wonderful sculpture. Height 1 3/4 inches.

A Large Sterling Silver Salad Set by Whiting, in the Lily Pattern, circa 1900. Dimensions; 11.25" long, weight 9 standard, 8.2 Troy ounces. Excellent condition. No monogram.

Pair of Victorian Georgian sterling silver serving trays. Made by William Ker Reid in London in 1846. Each: Serpentine and gadrooned with oval well. On shoulder engraved armorial with lion rampant and Latin motto “Vive Ut Vivas” (Live That You May Live). Sturdy with nice heft and balance. Fine examples of the enduring popularity of 18th-century design well into the reign of the young queen. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Original iron handcrafted hardware and dovetail construction. 19th century. 71 1/2” high x 68 1/2” wide x 35 1/2” deep. Very solid overall condition. There are typical signs of natural wear from use. The wood has some shrinkage and cracks from the Arizona dry climate...
