This is a baluster shape of body and cup-mouth shape, the sides tapering to
the flat base with no glaze, knife-cut with vertical facets below
interlocking loops encircling the shoulders, around the shoulder carved with lotus
leafy foliage, covered overall in a celadon-green glaze.
It’s in fine condition with some kiln-grit adhering to the base.

The deep bowl on short raised ring foot with everted rim, decorated in inlaid
white slip with a central medallion of floral heads and dots surrounded by a narrow
band of stylized double rings and wide band of “rope curtain” design, the
exterior decorated en suite beneath a pale celadon glaze.
It’ in good condition but some chips to foot-rim, it measures 19 cm d. x 8 cm h.

Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Buddhist Lotus Leaf Pottery Jar (Uncleaned)
This interesting pottery jar was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province. It is made from a pale grey pottery. Decoration is fairly simple with strips of clay applied to the upper body to form five lotus leaf panels.
Height 24.75 cm (9.75 inches)...
