An antique Japanese Kasane Tansu (2 section Kimono chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute handles and Urushi lacquered body. Lock plates shaped in the form of the auspicious Paulownia leaf. Upper section has 2 drawers and a hinged safety door with two small drawers behind. Lower section has 2 full width drawers.

An antique Japanese temple plaque made from one large solid block of Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. Hand carved on both sides. One side depicts ocean waves which represents polar opposite ideas of peaceful tranquility and powerful ferocity. The opposite side features Sunflowers representing warmth and longevity and Chrysanthemums symbolizing immortality.

An antique Japanese Tansu chest in 3 sections called Ishodansu made of Tochi (Horse Chestnut) and Hinoki (Cypress) woods. This chest was used for Kimono and clothes storage. Original bronze hardware and wiped lacquer finish. The front has a smooth channeled frame. Behind the sliding doors of the upper section lies a small drawer to the left and a corner shelf to the right side. Center section has 3 drawers and the bottom section has 2 drawers...

This rare pear-shaped vase or bottle was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) by one of the kilns at Yuxi county in Yunnan province, one of the first places in the world where blue & white ware was produced. German Rococo 830 silver bowl, ca 1900. Round well with rosebud-gathering cherubs in relief. Sides tapering with scrolled and wavy rim. Heraldic shields with more cherubs and flower baskets as well as flower-strewn scrolled frames on pierced ground. Foot ring with scrolls and scallop shells. A fancy piece in the Hanau style. Marked. Very good condition with deep patina.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl (Hongzhi)

This blue and white porcelain bowl with flared rim was made during the late 15th - early 16th century (Hongzhi reign 1488 – 1505). The outer wall is decorated in underglaze blue with a honeycomb pattern. The central decoration is loosely based on a vajra (Buddhist sceptre) with various other decorations around the inner wall. It is coated in a finely-crackled glaze.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Glazed Pottery Ridge Tile - Lion Dog

This sturdy ridge tile in the form of a seated lion-dog dates to the latter part of the Ming Dynasty (c. 1600 - 1644). It is coated in a thick and finely-crackled attractive turquoise glaze. The curved underneath of the tile remains unglazed and has the impressions of a finely-woven cloth on which it must have been placed during manufacture.

Three chased leafing-scroll frames of which 2 vacant and 1 engraved with interlaced script monogram. Shoulder has flower heads on stippled ground. Cover top has central triangle on leaves.
