These porcelain plates were produced in Germany by Meissen around 1750. They have the blue underglaze crossed swords mark from this period. The plates have a diameter of 9 1/2 inches. The rims are scalloped and there is a molded basket-weave type border. The plates are about 1 1/2 inches deep. They are hand painted with colorful fruits and flowers. The ground fabric was certainly made in China. The ends of the shawl are finely embroidered in multi-colored silk yarn. The embroidery is identical on both surfaces. This is a nice small southern Song dynasty (1127-1279) qingpai funerary grain storage house. It stands on a slightly short footrim with a recess base. The outer ring of the footrim is shaved inward. This porcelain loving cup was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1911. There is a date cipher that indicates this year. The cup is 4 1/2 inches high and is 5 inches across the handles. It is made of fine, white bone china. It has delicate handles and a pedestal base. The cup is beautifully hand painted with garlands of tiny roses and forget-me-nots.
