Large snuff bottle, made of silver, of circular and flat shape, lavishly decorated with animal, floral and geometric design on one side and foliage, lotus and geometric design on the other side. Tiny silver stopper at the end of a small spout on top of the bottle. Opening on one side to allow access to the tobacco powder, with relief stylised lotus decor, on one of the two sides. Fine patina. Tibet, 19th century. Height: 11 cm. Very good cndition.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Vienna, Austria by the Franz Dorfl decorating studio around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches and the cup is 1 3/4 inches high. The ground color is burgundy. The cup has a hand painted scene of Venus in a chariot accompanied by a cherub and doves. The painting has fine detail, vivid coloring and is artist signed. 19th century staghorn ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved as Zen Buddhism patriarch Daruma enveloped in his monastic robe. Excellent face with expression of extreme concentration, superb warm patina, very pleasing shape. Height 11/16 inches. Wooden stand used for photography is not included.

19th century Japanese ceramic miniature seal netsuke modeled as shishi - Buddhist lion - sitting on a rectangular base, its head turned to its left. The impression of the seal is shown on the first photo (image is flipped left to right to present the image as it will actually print on paper). A Japanese hand forged iron tsuba. A tsuba is an important fitting on a samurai's sword to protect their hands from the blade and provide balance. This tsuba has cast motifs of a 5 petal flower and oblong hole. The tsuba is from the Myochin school (1573-1867).

Antique Japanese low Todana tansu with one large drawer and a compartment opened with sliding panels. Mostly made of Sakuranoki (Cherry) wood, the sliders have horizontal slats over Keyaki (Zelkova) wood panels. As well, the side panels of the tansu are also made of Keyaki. The sides and back of the tansu are reinforced with sakura wood bracing. Hardware includes iron Warabite drawer pulls and lock on sliding panels...

A Yuan Longquan Celadon Ewer. Length approximately 8.3 cm (the tipspout to the handle) and height 5.2 cm (the bottom to the rim). Few hairlines at the ewer. Good condition.
