This is an incredible, extremely rare, plains Indian copper beads and bird claws necklace. It is from the late 1800's. It has 33 rolled copper beads, 40 trade beads and 8 claws. It is about 32". The copper beads have dark patina and are all about 3/4". The claws are all sharp and the necklace is in pristine condition. This is not a married concoction. It may have been handed down through generations. I purchased it from HD Enterprises in Denver in 1985. It is from the Bob Rock collection...

This is a very rare projectile point made from a stingray barb about 1000AD. It is 6 1/4 long. It was found in the Pacific Islands. It is translucent and very sharp. There is no damage or restoration. It has obvious rework. It is from the Dr. Raymond Thomas collection. I have only seen two of these in all my years of collecting. The other one was one of my most viewed artifacts on this site.

Antique Japanese Satsuma pottery group of three fu-dogs wrestling. Each of the three seems to be attacking another in this playful scene. A medium sized fu-dog lays with it's back on the ground, fending off the largest of the group who, in turn, has a smaller fu-dog biting his ear. The overall modeling gives off a feeling of whimsical turmoil and one can almost hear the playful snarls as they bite at each other's ears and toes...

Antique Japanese 2-section shodana, display cabinet for heirlooms and works of art. It's rare, mostly open configuration gives a floating appearance to it's multi tiered shelves and compartments. It has intricate pierced carved details of phoenixes and curling flower vines. A rectangular compartment in the center portion has a hinged door that is decorated with blue lacquer and bone shibayama inlay of a bird in tall grasses stalking a bee...
