This is a wonderful early glass sugar bowl, in a deep cobalt blue color, from Scotland or Northern England. It is delightfully gilded with the saying "Be Canny with the Sugar". The rim is also gilded.

The bowl is on a stem with two flattened knops, above a folded foot with a rough, snapped pontil. It stands 4 1/8" tall and is 4 5/8" in diameter. The condition is excellent, with no chips or restoration...

A Chinese Famille Rose Twin Handled Covered Urn. Decorated with a J M monogram below floral swags, the domed cover with a strawberry finial. Qianlong C1775/85. Height: 9 1/4" (23.5 cm ). Condition: very good, chip 0.7 cm to lower rim of cover, some wear to gilding on rims.

A scarce little blue and white faiance jug (redware), likely Dutch, 17th. century.

Size: 11,2 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice for the early type, handle possibly reattached, some very thin hairline visible under a glass.

Provenance: The Estate of Carl-Johan Hummeltoft (1958-2020), Birkerød, Denmark. Carl-Johan was a vivid collector and among other areas, he held an impressive collection of early European pottery and metal items.

A very nice early carving and highly unusual! Buddha is depicted as a crowned king seated on his double Lotus Throne held by a dragon below and with a great flaming halo behind, carved with dragons.

The carving can be dated to the late Ming-early Qing dynasty, c. 17th. century.

Condition: Nice Very fine. even wear and drying of the wood chips and degradation of the paint, but with much of the original laquer and paint still preserved...

Early Georgian shagreen covered slant front knife box with original brass hardware and working lock. English. Circa 1740-1760. Materials: Shagreen (shark skin) over wood with brass bail handle, hinges and lock escutcheon. Including key. The hinged cover reveals the original velvet fitted interior with divisions for 24 pieces of cutlery (slots to hold 12 knives and 12 forks)...

18th century netsuke of seated Jurojin (one of the 7 Gods of Good Fortune, usually associated with longevity) leaning on one hand. Wonderful early carving of characteristic triangular section, smiling benevolent face, great fat earrings, beautifully etched textile patterns, some black and red highlights. Expert light staining, superb patina. Height 1 1/8 inches.

A very rare 18th Century QING DYNASTY BLUE & WHITE PORCELAIN TEAPOT, WITH INTEGRATED GILDED ELEMENTS. It depicts a multi participant scene in a Chinese Court. The upper part and lid have decorations of flowers and fruit, gilding and a fine red glaze ring around the top cover. The teapot is connected to a grip made of metal alloy with a double hinge. Dimensions including the grip is 9.5" height, excluding the grip it is 6 3/4", diameter 5 1/8" (24/17 cm, 13 cm diameter)...

A rare Original Sino-Siamese Polychrome ENAMEL BENCHARONG-BENJARONG VESSEL WITH COVER, 18/19th Century. Colors: ULTRAMARINE BLUE, PINK, WHITE, GREEN, RED and a Bronze-GOLD Color top Finial. Good overall condition, some inconsequential signs of considerable age and use. Size: 8 x 5.2 cm

Chinese Export Porcelain Platter for American Market with family Lion crest, and initialed Seal inside the Shield supported by two(2) leafy branches, orange reddish overglaze Lion on top, later part of 1700's to early 1800's, 19" wide, 16 1/2" high, 1 3/4" high, heavy orange peel surface, with cobalt blue border high lighted with brilliant gold. The condition is good, some of the enamel colors on the family Crest area is slightly rubbed off from usage.

Beautiful dish or bowl with a landscape and cottages in Famille rose colours and gold within a diaper border in pale turquoise. Early Qianlong, first half of the 18th century. Diameter "9¾/ 24,8 cm and height "1½/ 4 cm. Condition: two hairlines, one piece reglued (cf. pics).

18th century netsuke of sennin (Chinese sage) standing with one foot raised, clad in tiger skin skirt and holding in his hands tassels that support a large woven straw hat on his back. Strong early piece with superb smiling face, beautiful flow to the lines of his skirt. Wonderful wear to the surface from more than 200 years of handling, beautiful yellow patina turning light honey color on the back from wear against the silk of kimono, old age lines...

A Chinese Export Famille Rose Spoon Tray. Yongzheng C1730/35. Width; 13.2 cm. Condition; Good, two small shallow chips to rim 0.7 cm. Minor frits and some wear to gilding.

A dish of scalloped rim form of six-sun size decorated with a central motif of a bouquet of Cherry blossom wrapped in the traditional manner for formal presentation with a sheath of washi paper, tsutsumi, shaped into a horn and tied with cord. The rim of the dish decorated with auspicious motifs of gobenka and cho butterflies in the typical Imari three colour palette dating to the Kyoho period circa 1710-40. The reverse decorated with ribbon ties and trailing flowers...

This is an elegant SSOT, or single series opaque twist English antique drinking, or wine, glass. It has a drawn trumpet bowl and the stem has a beautifully fashioned enamel spiral gauze. Single series opaque twists are considerably rarer than double series twists. The conical foot has a rough, snapped pontil.

The glass has good height at 7 1/8 inches, a bowl diameter of 2 5/8 inches, and a foot diameter of 2 7/8 inches...

Pair of antique Chinese Horseshoe Chairs made of Elm and original rattan woven seats with original support structure to the underside. They each have 3 back splat panels which are indicative of the 18th Century Kangxi Period. With a slight difference in size, the male chair has a back panel wood carving of a ring connecting two arabesque vine patterns suggesting double happiness in marriage (called a Chou pattern). The female chair has a wood carving of a stylized Lotus design...
