A nagazara of conventional rectangular form decorated somenishikide style, a combination of underglaze blue, sometsuke, and, nishikide, enamelled decoration. Nishiki literally means brocade. In this case a dense diaper pattern made up of repeating and contrasting cells of Karahana against an iron red ground and five petal flowers, presumably, ume hana, Plum flowers against a striated green ground, usually used to suggest pine needles...

Mosaic glass pendant in the shape of a bearded head, surmounted by a large loop for attachment to a necklace. Phenicia, or Carthage, archaic period, 350 to 200 B.C. Height: 6.1 cm. Barely visible old accident, superbly restored, otherwise very good condition. NOTE: similar pendants are shown in the Antique Glass Collection of the Louvre Museum in Paris. An Arita Export porcelain dish decorated with a design based on a Ming Chinese Kraak plate. A pair of Ho-o birds amongst flowers and bursting pomegranates. Arita, circa 1690 - 1720. A similar dish is illustrated in the Shibata Collection, Kyushu Ceramic Museum, item 2495.

The border pattern shows a striking similarity to that used for V.O.C. orders produced at the Hikeoba and Sarugawa kilns. Circa 1680.

An Edwardian Green Ivory Handled Pickle Fork and Olive Spoon. Dimensions; 9" long. Hallmarked London 1911 and Stamped for "Goldsmiths and Silversmiths" (G&S Co. Ltd). Excellent condition.

Pair of Chinese export Canton tea caddies in hexagonal form, blue and white with traditional landscape and geometric banding, 6 carved feet, glazed bottoms, original lids. Measure 5" wide, 6 1/4" high and 3" deep, slight variation in sizes and shapes. Surface of caddies is slightly dimpled with the "orange peel" appearance to the glaze, all decoration in under glaze blue. Hexagon shape, with landscape scenes on front and back, hand painted with slight differences...

Currier and Roby specialized in High Quality Reproductions of Classic Designs, Operating in the Early Part of the 20th Century. Dimensions; 7" high x 2.5" in diameter; weight; approximately 190 grams. Excellent condition.

Set of three large graduated Japanese Arita porcelain serving bowls, each decorated in underglaze blue with a landscape scene featuring a temple set against craggy mountains and trees. A flowing band of scrolling foliage encircles the exterior. Late Meiji Period to early 20th century. Base marked. In diameter, each measures: 10," 8 7/8" and 7 1/2." In height, they are 3 3/4," 3 3/8" and 2 3/4." Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. From a Tucson, Arizona estate.

A very attractive Byzantine or darkage bronze chest key approx 6th.-9th. century AD.

The key is finely made with a round bow and square decoration to the hollow stem.

Condition: Extremely fine, superb with even green patina. A condition rarity as such.

This nice dual image with monkey on top is made from albite. It is from Copan. It is 1" tall and is from the Keith Finello collection. It is drilled on the top for suspension. It dates to the Classic Mayan period C300-900AD.

Beautiful long silk panel with exquisite embroidery of dragons, flaming pearls, flying phoenix birds or pheasants all in varying shades of gold thread on deep turquoise silk background, with wide silk black border, Qing era, 18th or 19th century. Measures: 44" x 8 7/8". Embroidery on a blue silk background with woven ribbon edging, black silk border with a grey tone woven edge, backing is beige or light tan loosely woven fabric, probably cotton. The center of the panel has cloud forms and fly...

During the Qing Dynasty, the feathers of the kingfisher bird were used to create ornaments for woman to attach to clothing and/or wear in their hair... Through the 1800's These ornaments were made and formed with heavy paper (light weight cardboard...) They had large areas of feathers and the edges of the paper form were bordered with gold paint...and the ornaments were often domed By the early 1900's the bird were becoming rare almost extinct ...so intricate and smaller sections of fea...

A Japanese bronze vase decorated with dragons and clouds. Meiji period, mid to late nineteenth century. Unsigned. The work is reminiscent of Murata Seimin.

A very rare and interesting stamp seal of quality bone or tusk, Greek period of the Levante, ca. 4th. century BC.

A beautifully carved and polished smaller stamp seal of semi-globular shape and wthe engraving of a stagg on it's face. The medium fully polished and now attractively patinated and the relief is deep.

Condition: Complete and intact, very rare for an ancient bone artifact. With the typical natural hairline cracks

A fine and genuinely old silver mounted Prayer Wheel / Mill (‘Khor'), Tibet, 19th. century.

With silver in the midsection, mounted with coral and torquise, large silver folliage mounts on the top and bottom, bone suspension and a finely polished hardwood handle. Note also the silver lotus buc at the top. Guaranteed authentic old.

Lenght: 23 cm. and quite solidly built.
