A pair of antique Japanese lacquer presentation processional boxes finished in original Urushi. Constructed of Hinoki (Cypress) wood it was made for both strength and to make it light in weight. The tops each have a hook style hinge on one side and a clasp on the opposite side where a cord or a lock would have kept the contents secure. A lovely Shino tea bowl fashioned from coarse Mino clay and covered in a crackled feldspar glazing. The front of the bowl is decorated with paintings of abstract foliage—possibly the lilting leaves of a willow tree—and the base of the bowl is unglazed, displaying rough clay. Little distorted half cylinder shaped tea bowl made of light, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical shino glaze inside and outside with a fine dark greyish triangle design. This is a typical late Momoyama design. The somewhat irregular foot is typical for the late production of the 1620-ies at the Motoyashiki and Kamagane kilns.

An antique Japanese low Mizuya Tansu made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Original iron handles on upper sliding doors. A pair of large sliding doors allows for spacious storage.
