This is a wonderful tiger oak secretary with a cylinder roll desk. It is circa 1890, Eastlake, with chipped carvings throughout. Its not ornate - its beautifully elegant. It measures 92" tall x 36" wide x 22" deep and is in absolutely beautiful condition. It comes apart in two pieces for moving. The graining on the wood is the best of its kind.

Every Noh mask represents a specific character, and when the shite (performer) puts on their mask, the term for putting on clothing (kaburu) is not used. Eleven(11) English Spode Copeland Porcelain Luncheon Plates, Ca. 1891, 9" diameter, brilliant raised Gold border with Lemon Yellow color wide rim, marked "Spode Copeland"s Chine, England in green and impressed mark along with numbers "R 3716 2" in red on the bottom, in good condition, some gold rubbed off from the old age. An Arita blue & white porcelain dish decorated with a pavilion and poetry, an equestrian and servant in the foreground. The dish is moulded with a shallow ‘rinka’ edge. The back is plain and has three spur marks within the foot-rim.

An identical dish is illustrated in the Shibata Collection Vol.4, #303 where it is dated to 1770~1800.

Approximately 17.8 cm diameter. The dish has some light wear from normal use but is otherwise in fine condition...

A very handsome and hard-to-find George III navette form mahogany peat bucket. Bound with five brass bands, it still has its original brass bail or handle. This peat bucket is in excellent antique condition and appears to be all original. Measures 14.5 inches wide, 13.25" at highest point on side and dates circa 1780.

LIAO Dynasty Terracotta Buddhist Votive Plaque/Amulet, China, AD. 907-1125, with very fine details. Nicely mounted on wooden base. Originates from a group of varied tablets sizes that were excavated, most likely from the foundations of an ancient Buddhist temple, placed there to ensure success and prosperity. Condition: good, inconsequential hairline/chip, no restorations. Size: 2.75" (7 cm.)
