Rare Serpentine-Jade Bird Feeder from China.
Fine condition and very good color. Size: H. 1 1/8" x W. 2" including ring which enables locking the bowl securely by inserting a small bamboo stick through the holes on the outside of the bird cage.

This pair of wine cups are small but absolutely beautiful. The workmanship shows off the impeccable finesse with which Kangxi potters made their wares. The cobalt blue is true and vibrant, the painting bold, and the molded shape (two layers of lotus petals!) charming.
Antique Japanese 2-section isho tansu (chest on chest for clothing) from Yonezawa Area. Drawer fronts are made of kiri (paulownia) wood, frame is made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood. 4 large drawers and 2 small drawers. Iron hardware includes round lockplates with butterfly mon (family crests) of the Taira Clan.

An unusual mask with gaping jaws and flattened features covered in red and black lacquer with golden teeth and eyes dated a lucky day in the 6th month of Tenmei 2 (1782). The mask is of carved wood covered in cloth over which has been applied layers of colored lacquer, gold and gofun (powdered shell) to form the white eyebrows. It is quite unusual in configuration. Most masks are open at the back, however this is carved with curling hair all the way down to the neck...
A large table made of layers of lacquer carved through to reveal the various colors by Suwa Sozan I enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Guri Joku and bearing the Teishitsu Gigei-in Seal of the Imperial Art Academy. Ming blue and white large dish decorated with fine under glaze blue of scenery river boat mountains pagoda and house motif at the center, inner rim with nine white stork at the pond, outer wall with three squirrels in the three branches of fruit trees. 34,5cm diameter. Dish has fourhairlines at the rim and fritting glaze at the rim. Free from restorations.
