A Dutch delft tile from between 1625 and 1650 showing a snake’s head flower in the center enclosed in an oval of three blue lines. The single blossom is yellow and brown. The green leaves on a blue stem grow out of a yellow bulb on the ground. The oval with fleur-de-lis on the sides that correspond with the tile edges that are also decorated in blue with scroll work and vegetation (?). 5 inches (12.5 cm) square and slightly less than ½ inch (slightly more than 1 cm) thick...
A beautiful and extremely rare cider, or cyder, glass, featuring an elongated funnel bowl with very fine engraving of the word "cyder" and a fruiting bough with apples and leaves. The stem is surmounted with a double collar and contains a single series air twist (SSAT) with a 5 ply band...
A couple of (shade and ewer) iridescent glass items, made by Imperial glass. The shade is 5 1/2 inches tall, 5 inches wide (at the flared end) and has a 2 1/4 inch fitter opening (some roughness to the fitter end, as made). The ewer is 7 1/4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide (to handle-tip). One flea-bite on lid-bottom (hidden when lid is in place). Polished pontil. Both unsigned.

Small Japanese antique jewelry box, decorated all over with scenes of tiny chrysanthemums made of gold and silver mixed metal inlay on a gold lacquer (kinji) ground. The tiny safe box door is hinged and opens to reveal a scene of a golden bird on a blossoming plum branch near a fence. This scene spans both the interior of the door and three tiny interior drawers. The blossoms are made of gold and silver lacquer and the ground is a lovely dense and fine nishiji (gold flecks)...
This Victorian Staffordshire gilt white seated spaniel was made circa 1860-1890. Black nose,whiskers and eye detailing, yellow eyes. Vent hole to the reverse, good creamy glaze.
No restoration, no cracks. 9 1/2" high. gilt severely rubbed.
An interesting and scarce stone seal in black stone of the Late Babylonian type, probably 1st. millenium, but could be earlier.
With a hieroglyphic looking sign engraved in the base.
Size: c. 25 mm. tall.

A Northern Sung or earlier green glaze celadon tea bowl, some comb pattern. It is in good condition no damage, no crack, no chip, no restoration except glaze corossion by sea water, now very sandpapery after one thousand years in the sea bed.
Diameter approximately 9 cm. In good condition.
Mesa Verde bowl ca. 1180 to 1300 ad., it is intact "MINT" as found and there is one little flea bite on rim with no pressure cracks, it is approx: 7-1/2"wide X 4"high. Please review pictures.

Finely cast, with nice details, miniature statue of bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, standing on a lotus base, his left hand holding what seems to be a gourd. Bronze, with encrusted reddish green patina, with traces of the original gilding. China, Tang Dynasty. Height: 5.6 cm. The statue is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Good condition.
Beautiful Tibetan painting depicting white Tara and four other bodhisatvas, originally this was a book cover for a sacred text, painted in mineral colors on canvas and mounted like a thangka. 18th century.

DESCRIPTION: A beautiful antique Chinese tobacco pipe, elegantly crafted from a long bamboo stem lacquered in red and black. The tip (bit) is carved from a pure white nephrite jade stone that is tapered and then flared to form the lip. The bowl and shank are crafted from silver metal, and bands of brass rings decorate each end. This pipe is in excellent condition and dates from the latter Qing Dynasty. DIMENSIONS: 17 ¼” long (44 cm).

Looking inside this Tenmoku chawan is like glazing deep into the cosmos. There one can understand the meaning of microcosm and ask whether one is looking inward or outward; probably both...
