Finely crafted silver box with Rosewood interior, exterior decorated with impressive scroll design, 19th century period. Aprpox. 1 1/2" H x 8 1/2" W x 4 1/4" D, condition is consistent with age, no issues noted.
A beautiful late 19th century bronze kankavati featuring a wonderful warm patina. The box is divided into 6 yoni shaped compartments for sindoor or kukum powder. The peacock finial lifts out and then one or more of the compartments can be opened. In excellent condition, it measures 4 inches in diameter when closed.
A elegant lacquerware for monastery use. Made in Kyaukka, in the lower Chindwin District in Burma, made from woven matting and coiled bamboo and lacquered in black and red. This piece has seven sections. These original Kyaukka pieces are difficult to come by.

Rare Quezal Art glass footed sherbet or sorbet cup and saucer. The 2 pieces are iridescent gold with strong hues of fuchsia. We believe this to be one of Quezal's earlier pieces, dating 1902-1910. A fine and charming watercolor on paper portrait of a mother and daughter, the daughter with a book and an apple. Sight size is 5 3/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches, while the framed size is 9 5/8 inches by 8 inches.
The portrait is in excellent condition, although the photos exaggerate some very minor toning. The bird's eye maple frame, which is not new and might be original, is also in excellent condition.

This early 20th century ceramic beast looks like Shi Shi. It is 8 ¾” high, 3 ¾” wide and 7” long. It depicts a brown and beige color sitting beast with its mouth wide open. The maker’s signature “Seyama” is on the bottom. It is in excellent condition.

Rare and endearing figure of a young boy disciple of Quanyin (the Goddess of Compassion) wearing a garment etched with a lotus flower - the symbol of Buddhism. He is often depicted near Quanyin with his hands in reverential prayer. The bronze is heavily cast and has wires imbedded underneath the pedestal, perhaps for attaching to a group of figures.
