The wooden box has an attestation written by Sokuchusai, the 13th Omotesenke master. The chawan is named shira-kumo, white clouds.

An antique Japanese 2 section merchant display Tansu made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Tochinoki (Horse Chestnut) woods. Each section has a split level shelf. The bottom section includes 4 side by side drawers where additional store inventory was stored. Constructed using double through mortise and tenon joinery for added strength.

The Japanese tantutu pistol has a octagonal russet iron barrel, with flat sighting plains on top and bore of 3/8". A stock dai of Keyaki wood and brass plate jiita of the arquebus's firing mechanism. Mounted for display on a custom museum iron mount.

Important Antique Japanese Buddhist Pilgrim's coat. Buddhist monks would embark on a pilgrimage to travel temple to temple. Upon arriving to each temple, the monk would bathe before giving offerings and reciting prayers as well as receive a stamp distinctive to each temple. Normally a monk would carry around a special stamp book however it is not unusual to stamp the monk's coat as seen here.

This is good-quality Noren used in the merchant's family of the Yamagata Shounai district for Edo period. The figure pattern of a wave and the plover means a good combination of attractive harmony. Merchants of Shonai thought about the harmony with local people to the first. And there was the harmony of a merchant and the farmer there. The good-quality hemp was dyed in Tsutsugaki.
