Three drawers with persimmon panels line the top of the cabinet, with a set of double doors below, on decorative iron hinges incised with sand dollars, and a central filigree edged lock. Within are two small drawers and a large open compartment. The very bottom of the piece has a front drop down lid with roomy open storage inside. The edges of the piece feature iron braces with floral motif studs...

Dragons charge the sides of this large water urn covered in crackled pale glaze emblazoned with a panel which specifies: Water for the 11 Faced Kannon (Quanyin). Inside is lined with iron glaze. Outside key frets surround the rim leading to a nearly flat shoulder upon which blossom five petaled plum flowers. Mesa Verde squash effigy canteen ca. 1000 ad., it is approx: 7-1/2"high X 6"wide, it is whole except for handle was broken off about half way down handle and re-glued back on, the very tip of handle the crack was restored. I have been told that they intentionally stained the body with cactus juice to give it a ripen squash look, this canteen would have had a yucca plug in it to hold the water in as they traveled.
