Korean Antique Compartmented Inkstone Box and Old Brush. This box has a warm beauty that comes from its lovely form and beautiful patina that shows many years of devoted use by a Joseon Dynasty Korean scholar. 10 x 7 x 1.25 inches, 25.5 x 17.75 x 3 cm.

A group of pink lusterware made by Allerton, Staffordshire: slop bowl, two cups and three saucer bowls, all decorated with the Dahlia flowers typical of Charles Allerton & Sons, c 1860-70. Pattern numbers (?) 22, 707 and 701. Diameter of slop bowl "5½ / 14 cm, height of cups "2 ½ / 6.5 cm, diameter of saucers c. "5½ / 14 cm. Condition: wear to part of the decoration, nick to the foot rim of the slop bowl, one saucer with a hairline (cf. pics).

Small tea or wine bowl, enameled in Famille rose colours with an auspicious cricket among flowers, the background a light greyish green. China, Tongzhi period, the base with some residue, possibly from an exportation seal. Height "1 ½ / 4 and diameter "2 ½/ 6 cm. Condition: fine.

Quirky ceramic image of a boy and beast emulating lacquer and wood, circa late Qing Dynasty or Republic Period. This is the first time I have seen a ceramic glaze imitating lacquer (also note the bottom imitates wood). L: 10cm/4in and H: 7cm/2.8in. This has few small chips.

A Rare 蔡沈Manuscript 書經集傳序 of Song Dynasty was found.
It was in Chinese calligraphy on an old manually made paper.
It is very hard for me to authenticate if it was from Song dynasty or from later dates.
But I would like to present it as an old Chinese calligraphy work of art at least from 19th centuries.

Antique silver gilt spoon, enameled decoration of Denmark’s coat of arms. Made by Marius Hammer of Bergen, Norway, c 1900. The famous Hammer workshop (1847-1927) produced exquisite enameled cutlery and jewelry for export to other countries. Maker’s mark MH and 830 S. Length "4 / 10 cm. Condition: fine.

Antique Nepali Sarangi Musical String Instrument with sublimely rendered tiger and human figures, from the published and renowned collection of Sam Hilu, a prominent author and adviser on traditional Asian art, 27 x 7.5 inches, 68.5 x 19 cm.

Medallion with a relief design on both sides, a galloping horse on the obverse and mythical symbols on the reverse. Tin alloy, soil incrustations. Siam, Ayuthaya period15th to 18th century. Diameter: 6 cm. Good condition.

A blue and white gravy jug or creamer, Chinese export porcelain, c 1830. The hand painted decoration of pagodas in a seascape is cut off on both sides of the handle, mimicking the competitive English porcelain factories, where this was an obvious downside of the new and rational method of printing. Width "5 ¼ / 13, height with handle "3 ½ / 9 cm. Condition: a glaze bubble under the spout (cf. last pic).

A nice group of only 2 tical currency weights in Burma & Shan Empire from c. 1750-1850.

19th century Chinese fingering piece in a form of a natural walnut. Excellent piece to use for meditation practice, richly textured surface, superb warm patina from more than 100 years of handling, very pleasant to hold. Wonderful object for a scholar’s desk or a pocket. Height 1.69 inches.

A vintage, crisply patterned early Canadian pressed or pattern glass 8-1/2" pitcher in the Nova Scotia Starflower pattern (Trenton Glass). Also known as Dewdrop and Flowers (Sandwich 1870s-80s) in the United States, this pitcher is in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a tiny fleabite chip at the bottom of the handle (see image)...

Late 18th to early 19th century glass ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) in ball shape with yellow body and red/white/black “eyes”. Beautifully made, wonderful feel of age, very pleasant patina. Diameter 0.75 Inches.

A signed Royal Bayreuth miniature rose tapestry basket with pink and yellow roses. The basket is 3 3/4 inches tall.

An 18th century faience desk set or inkwell for a lady, decoration of flower sprigs, mainly Forget me nots. French, possibly Rouen around 1780, Width "6 ¼ / 15.8 cm and height " / 5.7 cm. The base with four little feet and mark W in black, maybe for William Sturgeon who owned one of the Rouen factories from 1776. Condition: later restorations having been removed, now left with cracks and hairlines (cf. pics) but still charming.

Three small so-called Kitchen Qing jars with under-glaze blue decoration of sweet pea vines and flowers. Probably used as medicine bottles, 19th century. Height "2 – 2¼/ 5,3 – 6,1 cm. Condition: fine.

Antique Chinese late Qing Dynasty Blue and White porcelain vase in the form of Ginger Jar, of globular form, decorated with white blossoming prunus branches on a deep cobalt blue cracked-ice-pattern ground, mark on bottom with double blue rings.

CONDITION: In very good condition, no repairs, chips, or cracks.

A lot of 4 lovely points in fine hardstones and silex from the private collection of P.F. Wulff. We're selling this very old collection in smaller lots to give everyone a chance to own a small piece of the pre-historic Americas!

Two of four points are carved in scarce translucent hardstone, probably agate, and two probably in silex. One is Paleo-Indian from c. 10.000-8000 BC and others can probably be dated to the 2nd.-1st. millenium BC...

A very nice Nanking Chinese export porcelain plate. The blue decoration is finely worked and the body color is excellent.

Large bracelet of flat shape decorated with a relief geometric design. Bronze, with dark-green patina. Philippines Archipelago, Mindanao Island, 19th century. Diameter: 4 3/4" (12 cm). Very good condition. Collected in the Philippines in 1978. A rather rare piece.

Very rare Imperial Russian silver child's fork with vermeil and engraved floral decoration. In fact, I've never before seen a piece of Russian children's flatware. The maker's hallmark on the back is slightly obscured by the design, but the assayer's mark (AA/1895), the standard mark (84), and the city mark (Moscow) are very clear.

Origin: Moscow, 1895. Condition: mint. Size: 4-3/4" long.

Cotton cloth with katazome (stencil-resist-dye) and dyed with pigments, which is called "wa-sarasa", Japanese chintz. It was produced from late Edo to early Meiji period. 19th Century Chinese Famille Rose Jar with lid..An interesting depiction with lovely painted themes and colors on base and on the lid. Apparently a well used and loved container, there are several chips to the rims of the jar as well as the lid.... otherwise, in general good condition. High resolution images by email on request.

Late Meiji (1890s to 1912) Japanese boxwood seal, most probably used in a temple to stamp pilgrimage papers. The impression of the seal is shown on the first photo (image is flipped left to right to present the image as it will actually print on paper). Excellent quality crisp carving of 2 rows of differently sized characters, caked old red seal paste on the bottom. Metal stud on the side indicates the position of the top of the imprint. Beautiful patina on the surface of wood...

Elegant sterling silver berry serving spoon with very high quality bright cut floral engraving. The matte-finished bowl is engraved with a rose motif while the handle has a variety of flowers and foliage. The reverse is marked "Sterling" and "J.S. MacDonald". The firm was in business in Baltimore, circa 1900. Excellent condition, no monogram. 8.75" long.
