Chinese Ming Dynasty scroll painting attributed to Qiu Ying (1494-1552). Qiu Ying's courtesy name was Shifu (实父), and his art name was Shizhou (十洲). This form evolved from a tripod censer and vestiges of the three legs remain as small protrusions at the bottom surrounding the unglazed circular base.
