A rare Staffordshire "Prattware" tea caddy, unusually with original cover. On each side are moulded caricatures of Georgian "society" figures with their servants/attendants. This item was made during the last quarter of the 18th Century, circa 1780-1790. Condition - there are chips to the under side of the cover and the finial has been re-glued. Piero Fornasetti porcelian dish of the advertising poster for Arturo Toscanini's Concert at La Scala. The dish is gold trimmed and measures 5.25 inches (13 cm) wide and is 8.5 inches (22 cm) and 1 inch (2.5 cm) in height. There is some wear to the gold trim but there are no chips, cracks or repairs. This is an original Fornasetti not a later Rosenthal re-issue. Marked on back with Fornasetti Logo, FORNASETTI-MILANO/MADE IN ITALY, followed by a small gold letter "P". Circa 1951
