This Matl signed by Matilde Poulat is one of the nicest demi's I have seen. Signed with 2 stamps and the Matl stamp indicate an early jewel. The long tail is very rare and sought after. the chain is clustered with turqoise and half way up it meets a larger clustered jewel link that leads to the back clasp with the gorgeous S links. All this workmanship on a demi is very rare. The length is 16in. wearable and the drop is approximately 2in. by 2in...

The quintessential Art Deco designer, Abraham Paz is one of the earliest maestros of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance. He worked in Mexico City and many of the designs we associate with Fred Davis are actually Paz's creations. His minimalist "masks", shield-form links and tiered ring settings epitomize the elegant geometry the 1920s and 1930s are known for while also foreshadowing the less-is-more attitude of modernism...

Signed with an old hallmark of Matilde Poulat's Matl the repousse is in full regalia. Very well done with fine carving leaving a true feeling of the feathered bird. This is the larger sized version being 4 1/8thin. tall and 2.25in. wide. The weight is 36.5 grams heavy. This is a must have for the Matl collector and this one is an excellent example with the larger, full tail of 3 rings. No damage or flaws, just superb.

A really fantastic early vintage Mexican Silver Cross with original chain by Matilde Poulat and signed with her old mark MATL. The hanging angels are so special with hand carving to the tops. This is the first time I have owned one with a chatelaine. A chatelaine's purpose is to make it more decorative with a smoother lead into the drop. Please note that both the chatelaine and the cross has cut outs under the amethyst stones to aid in more of a glow...

William Spratling's largest chain design is a first phase hallmark and one inch tall. Being 8 in. long it is suitable for a man or a woman. The fit is like a bangle for a woman and the hook clasp does takes up some of the wearable length. There is a curve/groove running down it's center with great dimension which is accentuated with the solid silver being 7mm thick. The color is a beautiful white with almost pure silver of at least 980 silver weighing 121 grams. Impressive at 1in. tall...

This is an incredible William Spratling necklace from the Mexican Silver Renaissance. Finding one of these is really a treasure due to how rare they really are but this one is even more rare due to 18kt balls in it's center and again on a thick layer of the medallion below the balls. These have been tested to 18kt. The repousse is open back and is an attribute of it's early age and the hallmarks for high silver content. The name is for MOTH and it is stunning on with 3 draped ball chains. It has...

Without a doubt the “queen” of vintage Mexican silver jewelry, Matilde Poulat was an exceptional designer and, in my humble opinion, one of the country’s artists who, in their work, expressed the philosophy of the Arts and Crafts movement. Her highly textured repoussage allows us to follow the silversmith’s hand as it slides over the metal thus affording us, to an extent, a glimpse of the creative process. Most of her bracelets are big, bold and daring - her jewelry in general commanding...
