Description: A nephrite jade pendant was carved as a tiger’s head. By a grayish tint, the jade piece was revealed with blackish incursions along the stone tissues and accompanied with ice crackles. They were all resulted from long time of burial. In adequate size, the jade piece was an ideal accessory in the past and in nowadays as well. In the English language, Bhaisajyaguru is commonly referred to as the "Medicine Buddha" or the "Medicine King Bodhisattva".
The bronze Buddha here was heavily cast.
Depicted with decorations on the robe, he was applied with gold leaf on the surface, from which most had been faded but revealed with the darken blackish patina.
He was well carved in details on the features and at the ushnisa at the top...

Shishi prance across the mottled Kiri-wood surface of this Momoyama to early Edo period Koro in gold and silver maki-e and mother of pearl inlay. A copper insert contains the fragrant incense ash. There is a hand forged iron staple top and bottom of one ancient crack testament to age. It likely once had a silver hoya (cover) which has disappeared over the centuries...

Chicken Water Dropper, with everted liprim, decorated outside with chrysantemum scroll, flower on the shoulder and a band of small circles around the foot. Unglazed base. This is similar with the item on the Chinese Blue and White Ceramics by ST Yeo & Jean Martin, Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, 1978, page 134 plate 35. Chinese Kangxi Blue & White Porcelain Dish (Kraak)

This fine dish was made around 1680 at the famous Jingdezhen kilns, during the Kangxi reign (1662 - 1722) of the Qing Dynasty. It is decorated in underglaze blue of quite an intense colour. The decoration to the centre panel features a grasshopper in a garden surrounded by flower blossoms. Surrounding this are more panels variously containing geometric, flowers and precious objects...

Hints of the finest powdered gold gleam on the edges of this ghostly white tea bowl dating from the early Edo period. Iron-like freckles pepper the surface which is subtly clouded with soft color. The base is almost entirely covered in glaze, the glimpses of earth worn dark with age and use. It comes wrapped in a silk bag with an age darkened kiri wood box titled Hagi Chawan and named within Kan-no-yuki annotated by Yabunouchi Chikusojochi (1864-1942) 11th head of the Yabunouchi school of tea...

Crackled porcelain charger decorated with a scene depicting phoenix and chrysanthemum in the central field, and, around the cavetto, with flower and interspersed with bamboo motifs. Width = 36 cm Period : Ming Dynasty, late 16th century.Condition : frittings on the rim, no chips, cracks, hairliones and free from restoration.

A heavily potted porcelain jar, made in two horizontal parts, with an underglaze blue floral decoration. South Chinese work from the 16th/17th century. H. 21 cm, D. 19 cm. Condition: very good, no damage or repairs, the glaze is a bit dull and has craquelé because this jar was excavated and spent 4 centuries under the soil. Provenance: in my private collection since I found this jar in Beijing in the late 90’s.

This is one of a group of moulded pottery tablets that we bought about twenty years ago. They are made from a relatively high-fired pottery and have a surprising amount of detail, including the sun and the moon in this example...

Large export bowl, decorated with lotus petal, classic scroll and geometric decoration on the exterion, flower on the central , key fret, and floral on the interior. There is mark on the base. Late Ming (late 17th century) . Width = 23 cm. Height=12 cm Condition : Perfect, no chips, hairlines, cracks and free from restorations.

Kendi, with rounded sides, bulbous spout and tall neck decorated outside with floral scroll and plantain leaves on the neck with metal mount, glazed base. PERIOD : Wanli (1573-1619 AD) MEASUREMENT : 23 cm height, 14 cm wide. CONDITION: the neck set with metal mount and small cip to the end of spout.

Polychrome swatow jar decorated with lotus petal, circle and diamond. late Ming, Height : 8 cm. Condition : very good, invisible hairline, no chip, crack or restoration.

A beautifully and well shaped Ming Dynasty (1368-1643A.D) rice bowl with a simple blue splashes of cloud like motives. This piece is retrieved from the sea. The bowl is a common household ware likely to be used for eating rice or drinking water/wine. It is an export ware for the South-East Asian market. It is also likely that this blue bowl can be dated toward the end of the Ming Dynasty - 17th century. The glaze, although is thin and smooth, is still in relatively good conditions...
