Description: A northern stoneware was intriguingly applied with russet oil-spots glaze. In a lovely size, the bowl was molded regularly in well proportion. While with a charming glaze effects on the inner and outer surface, the bowl’s foot ring was unglazed and was revealed with the meticulously applied protection coating on the body clay. The sandy-feel protection slip cracked in some way and reveal the white clay underneath. Date: Jin to Yuan period(13th-14th century) Width: 8.2cm.

Description: A black-glazed tea bowl was uniquely shaped in a stout way. Molded by a narrowed wall, the foot had a rolled ring at the bottom. Having been cleaned professionally though, the luster of the glaze was retrospective when subtle brownish tint was amid the evenly applied black glaze. Date: Jin to Yuan period, Provenance: Tinlin kiln Fujiang Province. Width: 11.5cm, Height: 5.7cm.

An intricate age darkened Keyaki (elm) carving of two dragons vying for dominance in a sea of clouds, glass eyes glowing softly in the rich red wood. Dating from the later 19th century, the carving is 49 inches (125 cm) long, 4 x 1-1/2 inches (9.5 x 3.5 cm). It is overall in fine condition with some inevitable abrasions due to time. The tennons on both ends indicate this was made to be inserted between two pillars, and was likely the transom over a Buddhist altar.

A 19th century (early Meiji) period Buddhist image we believe to be a thousand armed version of Yakushi Nyorai accompanied by two sages carved entirely of fragrant sandalwood on a gilded wooden base. The group is in total 15-1/2 inches (39 cm) tall, the image alone 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) tall. Both sages are missing an arm, as well as one lotus blossom rising from the wave patterned base. The holy figure itself also once had a greater number of arms, which have been lost over the last 150 years...

This is a charming lobed shaped tea-pot standing on four small individual feet. On one side it has a painting of a pair of sparrow in a blooming lotus pond. On the other side, it has a poem written on it. Circa. early Chinese Republic period 1940s-1950s.

No hairline crack, glaze fritting, damage, repair or restoration. The tea-pot is in good condition.

The dimension of the tea-pot: The height is 11.7cm, the length is 22cm and the width is 10cm.

Description:

A pair of Jizhou jars was intriguingly molded in imitation of two woven bamboo boxes.
By typical characteristics of sticking-rice-like body clay which revealed at the lower portion of the boxes and the flat foot rings, the ware’s glaze was kept in very good condition.
On the surface, clear and crispy patterns were beautifully defined. Hand-crafted knobs were skillfully added on the top of the caps.
Some adhesives were preserved on the surface for authentication...
