This is a Yuan dynasty celadon vase with a three claws dragon and a phoenix motif flying in the sky. The phoenix is very elegantly engraved with a beautiful body, with a pair of wide spreading wings and with the tail floating in the sky. Description: A northern stoneware was intriguingly applied with russet oil-spots glaze. In a lovely size, the bowl was molded regularly in well proportion. While with a charming glaze effects on the inner and outer surface, the bowl’s foot ring was unglazed and was revealed with the meticulously applied protection coating on the body clay. The sandy-feel protection slip cracked in some way and reveal the white clay underneath. Date: Jin to Yuan period(13th-14th century) Width: 8.2cm.

Description: A black-glazed tea bowl was uniquely shaped in a stout way. Molded by a narrowed wall, the foot had a rolled ring at the bottom. Having been cleaned professionally though, the luster of the glaze was retrospective when subtle brownish tint was amid the evenly applied black glaze. Date: Jin to Yuan period, Provenance: Tinlin kiln Fujiang Province. Width: 11.5cm, Height: 5.7cm.

An intricate age darkened Keyaki (elm) carving of two dragons vying for dominance in a sea of clouds, glass eyes glowing softly in the rich red wood. Dating from the later 19th century, the carving is 49 inches (125 cm) long, 4 x 1-1/2 inches (9.5 x 3.5 cm). It is overall in fine condition with some inevitable abrasions due to time. The tennons on both ends indicate this was made to be inserted between two pillars, and was likely the transom over a Buddhist altar.

A 19th century (early Meiji) period Buddhist image we believe to be a thousand armed version of Yakushi Nyorai accompanied by two sages carved entirely of fragrant sandalwood on a gilded wooden base. The group is in total 15-1/2 inches (39 cm) tall, the image alone 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) tall. Both sages are missing an arm, as well as one lotus blossom rising from the wave patterned base. The holy figure itself also once had a greater number of arms, which have been lost over the last 150 years...

By its crackled condition, the retrospective luster of the glaze and the obvious reddish tint on the unglazed grey body clay, this Longquan censer can be easily dated as a Ming piece...

Description: A jade pendant was carved with motifs of dragons (one on each end) amid scrolling cloud. By the elegant style, the jade piece is preserved in excellent condition except for some incursions on the surface.From the typical off-white jade quality, the style of the motifs and the characteristics of the carved lines and the size, the piece is dated as from Late Ming to Early Qing period(15th-16th century). Length:9.1cm, Width: 4.5, Depth: 0.5cm.

Description: A Zitan brush pen was preserved rarely with original cap. In a simple and plain form and kept with old patina, the brush was in perfect condition except lost of brush hair which didn’t matter much to a rare piece. Date: Late Qing period(19th century), Length: 20 cm (including cap)

A very unusual Shino-yaki ceramic Tsuri-doro hanging lantern with bronze handle and chain dating from the early 20th century, Meiji to Taisho period. Made in the shape of a thatched house, four ragged posts support the roof and delineate the rounded sides. A different opening is seen on all four sides, a square door, grated circular window, The character Hisa, and a latticed circular window. The white glaze is scorched red on the edge of the roof...

Description: A bamboo brush pen was preserved in very good condition. By a warm brownish patina, the brush pen was carved exquisitely with grand mountainous scenery. Scholars were watching scroll with attendant under knarred pine trees while crane was flying amid scrolled cloud. Scholar rocks stand stylishly with finely rendered shape...

Oversized modern limited edition Japanese woodblock print depicting a rural farming scene viewed through a forest by Unno Mitsuhiro (1939-1979). Signed in kana “Mitsuhiro” and dated 1972 in white ink at the lower left corner of the image. Pencil-signed “M. Unno,” titled in kanji, and numbered 16/100 in the lower right margin. Paper size nearly 19”V x 24 ½”H (image: 15 1/8”V x 21 ¼”H). Very good overall condition with a faint mat burn evident (see enlargement 5)...

This is a charming lobed shaped tea-pot standing on four small individual feet. On one side it has a painting of a pair of sparrow in a blooming lotus pond. On the other side, it has a poem written on it. Circa. early Chinese Republic period 1940s-1950s.

No hairline crack, glaze fritting, damage, repair or restoration. The tea-pot is in good condition.

The dimension of the tea-pot: The height is 11.7cm, the length is 22cm and the width is 10cm.

A pair of Jizhou jars was intriguingly molded in imitation of two woven bamboo boxes.
By typical characteristics of sticking-rice-like body clay which revealed at the lower portion of the boxes and the flat foot rings, the ware’s glaze was kept in very good condition.
On the surface, clear and crispy patterns were beautifully defined. Hand-crafted knobs were skillfully added on the top of the caps.
Some adhesives were preserved on the surface for authentication...

This is a transitional poster where one of the women is a man dressed as a woman and the other two are women. Size: 75cm X 49.5cm. Condition: Very good. Some tears at the bottom corners.

Original posters are almost impossible to find. I had acquired these posters many years ago in Beijing and forgot I had the. Just discovered them recently. Age: 1920s. Size: 76cm x 51cm.
