This is an exceptional very rare poster, not only showing three beautiful girls with elongated bodies, but it also shows the the furniture of the Qing period. Size: 76cm X 50.8cm. Condition: Very good.

This is an original old Chinese poster of two women (actually men disguised as women) advertising cigarettes. Very early poster women were not allowed to pose for these posters. Original posters are almost impossible to find. I had acquired these posters many years ago in Beijing and forgot I had the. Just discovered them recently. Age: 1920s. Size: 76cm x 51cm. Condition: Some fraying around the edges and minor rips from age.

A beautiful and rare glass stupa from the Pyu area.Most of the glass has turned into a beautiful iridescent color which gives a wonderful feeling to this piece. The stupa is unusual as it has a hollow opening in the center. Age: 100 AD. Size: H. 1.9cm. W. At the base. 1.9cm. Condition: A small piece is missing at the base and because it is iridescent at the part also it probably was made that way.

Large Chinese porcelain jardiniere or fish bowl with wide mouth and flattened rim decorated with gilt crabs and fish swimming among aquatic plants on a powder blue ground. Unglazed foot and base. Qing dynasty (late 19th century). 12 ¼”H x 14 ¼” diameter. Weighs about 18 lbs. Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. Some soiling to the interior from use and typical wear to the gilt decoration. This piece was purchased from an Arizona collection.

Description: A handsome Cizhou censer in tripod shape was in quite good look. Flat rim was supported by dented neck which with straight wall. And after that is the bulge belly which was applied on the surface with typical glittering black slip and where the astonishing russet mottles were decorated on. The feet were unglazed and revealed with obvious light brownish tint caused by firing. Hand-craft characteristics of the everted style and the finger imprints were joyfully observed at the feet...

Chinese Qing dynasty (19th century) Daoist priest’s robe densely embroidered in a pattern of complex iconographical symbols set against a pale celadon silk background created entirely from satin-stitch embroidery. The style is the traditional rectangular front-opening form which rests on the shoulders and has the lower part of the sides sewn together to form armholes. The center back is embroidered with a flame-bordered circular cartouche containing a pagoda flanked by flying birds...

Chinese late Qing dynasty (late 19th century) woman's rank badge embroidered with a central satin-stitched silver pheasant with very nicely detailed feathers. A single bat hovers below the sun at the upper right. This Mandarin square would have been worn by the wife of a 5th rank civil official. The badge is backed with stiff paper covered with blue silk and is bordered on the front in red silk. This rank badge measures 8 3/8"V x 9 1/8"H...

A seated figure covering his eyes with both hands used in Tantric Buddhism believed to provide supernatural powers. This one is made of clay and has tracings of gold leaf. It is incased in a stainless steel case. Size: Outside the case. H.2.2cm. W. 2cm.

Intriguingly molded in double gourd shape with rope-twist handles, the bottle stands by its splayed and well-shaped foot ring. While the dark glaze being neatly trimmed to the lower half of the belly, the full ovoid body showed its original grey clay beneath. Dust-like incursions were obvious all over the surface when the glaze reflection was introspective and charming...

This is heavily potted Five dynasties or Northern Song (960 A.D – 1130 A.D) dynasty Yueyao zhadou vessel. It stands on a very slightly splayed shallow foot rim with a shallow recess, everting towards a baluster shaped body and then towards a wide everted mouth rim. The whole body is covered with pale green glazed colour...

This is a medium size blue and white bowl with Three Friends of Winter motif, namely pine, bamboo and prunus tree. The centre of the bowl has a rondal of a five claws dragon. Base with Guanxu (1875 -1908) mark in under glazed blue. Circa late 19th – early 20th century.

The bowl is in good condition. Only minor pin holes and minute firing faults (see picture 4) which does not affect the aesthetic of the bowl...

Description: A Ge-typed porcelaneous censer was in tripod cylindrical shape. With beautiful crackle glaze, the censer expressed an elegant literati taste by its simple form. Kiln firing red was developed obviously between the glaze and body clay when numerous bubbles squeezing together all over the surface under the pale-blue tint. It was believed as an excavation piece. The inner side on the wall was left with marks of spreading roots...

A pair of ceramic Cormorants by preeminent early 20th century Master Miyanaga Tozan enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The cormorant has a special place in Japanese art. Like the hawk is a bird used in hunting, the cormorant is a bird used in fishing. Description: A rare and lovely Yaozhou russet-glazed incense burner was in simple form. Wide-mouthed and with high-set shoulders when the neck is narrowed and the lip is rolled, the jarlet was applied with persimmon glaze inside and out of the surface. The bottom was flat and was concaved to a round circle. The unglazed base had turned to a buff skin during firing, and in a firm quality which were all the characteristics for a Yaozhou ware.
