An ivory pendant was nicely carved with exquisite patterns.
In motifs of five bats(Fu, good fortune) surrounding a archaic character-Sou(Longevity) expressing the good metaphor, and scrolling clouds on the rim as decoration, this ivory piece was believed having been hanged as a lucky charm by the noble people.
An old drilling hole was on the side for stringing...

The Guanyin seated on a lotus throne, accompanied by two attendants. At the back of the figure there is an opening where offerings or religious texts were kept. This piece is 35 cm tall and dates from the 18th century. Condition: paint loss, worm holes (treated), age wear, an ornament missing at the top of the back plate. From a Dutch private collection.

This is a small Chinese Blanc de Chine libation cup, incised character mark at base, carved and molded with flowering prunus and animals; 2 _" high, 4" wide.

Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period ewer molded in the form of a seated monkey holding a peach with a young monkey on its lap painted on the biscuit in an iridescent susancai palette of aubergine, green, and yellow. The bent arm forms the handle and a hat is the lid. The base is unglazed. Measures 8” high by about 6 ½” across from handle to spout. Late 19th century. Very good overall condition with original lid...

Description: A big wood plank was originated from an old traditional Chinese architecture. Decorated with high-relief carvings of scenes as scholars, goats, monkeys and trouts, this wood tablet was looped for hanging. Date: Qing Dynasty(18th Century) Material: Camphor wood. Length: 100cm Height: 45cm Depth: 8cm Condition: Basically in good condition but with some old restorations on the faces of the figures.

 

Description: A white jade pendant was carved as a Chinese characters-Suan Xi( double joys). In another good metaphor, a bat-Fu(good fortune) was carved on top of the word. Pair of 19th century Chinese paper fans very finely and densely painted in extensive detail with figural scenes. One fan painting features beauties at a temple surrounded by clouds holding celestial maidens and a deer. A monkey is paying homage to a female who is seated on a lotus throne. Four Foo Dog seals. Two carved, two blank. Two made of ivory, one of black stone and one of red stone.The Foo dog is also known as the celestial dog and happiness dog. The animal is also a symbol of energy and value. Age: Mid 19th century. Size: H. Tallest 4cm- Smallest:2.5cm. Condition: The red stone one has a small chip at the base, all others are fine.

A marble scholar water basin was preserved in perfect condition.
Well hollowed, the water basin was in nice oval and flat form.
Some ink residue was left inside the basin.

An attractive wooden table screen with a carved and painted scene of a saint on a horse with three attendants. China. 19th century. Dimensions: H. 40 cm, W. 27 cm. Condition: original polychrome, some age cracks and shrinkage, the left leg slides off, the right one now stuck.
