A complete calcified "chicken bone" jade necklace from the Longshan Period. Jade that has been buried for millenniums sometime calcifies to a white color losing all of it's original color. Age: 2800-1900 BC. Size. Length(closed) 29.5cm. Condition: Age calcification.

This is a lovely famille verte emanel on biscuit stand having a Mongolian leading a horse through a sparse landscape; the contoured edge is finished with a floral border in excellent condition. Measurements: 8" x 8".

Large table top scholar's huanghuali chest with all it's original hardware. This is an early Ming piece as the huanghuali wood is quite thick. In later Ming pieces the wood was reduced in thickness as the huanghuali became scarcer. The hardware is typical early Ming. It is 100% original except for the inner tray that was probably added later. Size: L. 41.5cm. W. 24.6cm. H. 19.3cm. Condition: Normal ageing.

Chinese blue and white bottle vase with a garlic head rim. The base with a moulded design of two phoenix facing each other with outstretched wings. The same design repeated on the opposite side. There is a under-glaze blue border at the top rim with a further blue and white border at the center of the base and the base rim. This is a rare and good quality Ming dynasty longquan celadon export ware in very good condition. The dish stands on a short foot and then everted on a slightly flat base towards a short and flat everted scalloped rim. On the inside of the base of the celadon dish, it has a rare moulded motif with a “radiating sun ray” as compared to the usual incised or moulded lotus, floral, dragon or fish design...
