Description: A cute stone tiger of Song Dynasty was carved with a red sandstone which was revealed under the old black paint from the frets on the tip of her nose. The black paint was applied all over the surface except the bottom of the stand. The evenly spread crackle paint was meaningful to this lovely stone cat for her 800 years of enduring age. This is a finely potted Song dynasty (960 – 1276AD) Yaozhou Persimmon hexafoil glazed cup. It has a gently rounded sides rising from a straight foot to an everted hexafoil rim, covered overall in a lustrous with a scattered iridescent persimmon glaze. The lustrous persimmon glaze, with its thick glaze flow stopping just short of the foot to reveal a white clay body. Overall, it is a very beautiful piece.

There are no damage or any restoration to the cup...
