Chinese Song Dynasty Hare's Fur Bowl in Kiln Saggar

A very rare Ming hair ornament made of four jade goldfish and a cicada held together by gold wiring made up of a butterfly and floral design. It originally had turquoise colored king fish feathers inlaid in the design.It also has the original metal wiring holding it together. Size: H. 5.5cm. W. 5cm. Jades average 2 cm. Condition: Normal ageing on the metal parts.

Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Dish - Phoenix (35.5cm / 14")

This attractive large porcelain dish was made during the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. It is of the type known as "Swatow" or "Zhangzhou" ware. It is coated in a thick glaze, the bold underglaze blue decoration of good colour featuring in the centre, a standing phoenix, surrounded by various floral patterns and flower blossoms. Description:

A Longquan bird-feeder was in plain form.
Well mold in round shape, the vessel was preserved in perfect condition.
The glaze was in pale green tint.
The scars left at the bottom were caused during pottering when the potter using a wire or thread to cut the vessel from the potter's wheel. A characteristic from old wares we usually see.
It was a rare piece from which some similar ones were in the collection of the Palace Museum of Beijing(see last two photos)...

An exquisite Japanese koro incense burner carved from a piece of plum blossom colored agate and enclosed in a period wooden box. It is 3-1/2 x 5 x 4-1/2 inches (9 x 12.5 x 11.5 cm) and is in excellent condition, dating from the early 20th century.

This is a Chinese 19th century pale-blue glazed vase, bearing the Yongzheng seal mark , of ovoid form with applied handles; mint condition; 8 " high.

Description: A unique bottle vase of Jin period was applied with black glaze and decorated with russet streaks all over the surface. Intriguingly molded in double gourd shape with looped handles, the bottle stands by its well-shaped foot ring which was revealed with off-white body clay. The glaze was neatly trimmed to the lower half of the belly nearing to its foot ring...

A Beautifully carved tube shaped jade. It is hard to date this piece and say that it is from the Hongshan period (3000BC). It is most likely from a later period as these item are extremely rare. It is not know what these were used for but it is thought to be for the hair ornament to hold the pony tail. Size: See Last photo

Fine & Rare Chinese Tang Dynasty Sancai Glazed Pottery Horse and Female Rider (with Oxford TL Test)

This fine and attractive pottery model of a horse and equestrian was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906) and is made from a relatively high-fired creamy-white pottery. The female rider sits upright, her head turned very slightly to her left, her hands together in a demure posture; note the details of her clothing and hairstyle...

An early snow covers the branches of a ragged pine, the clutches of autumn still evident in the red tinged leaves of ivy clinging tremulously to the limbs. This is a spectacular large Kyo-yaki work signed on the base Seifu and enclosed in a period wooden box. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, it is nearly 10 inches (25 cm) diameter, 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) to the top of the lid and in excellent condition. This is the work of Seifu Yohei I.
