A shallow dish, heavily potted, covered in a beautiful celadon glaze producing the crackles of the Geyao type glaze. The recessed base is glazed while the foot rim is dressed with an iron brown wash. Periode : Qing Dynasty : 19th Century Diameter : 30.5 cm. Condition : Perfect, no chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations.

A Japanese Satsuma Dragon Tea set (Shimazo Crest; Shuzan mark, from the Mejii period 1868-1912). The Pot is, 8" high, the Creamer is 5.5", and the Sugar is 7"; all with Lids. Hand painted in colors and gilt with Rakan (Buddhist disciples) and dragons. Pieces signed with mark on the bottom. The Shimazo Crest is also on the Side of the Teapot. There is a chip on the inside lid of the teapot that is not noticeable from the outside, otherwise it is in excellent condition...

White cranes soar from the black water of a lake tucked in the shadow of orange hills on this lovely mid 20th century scroll enclosed in the original signed and stamped wooden box by Takazaki Ko (b. 1910). Extremely delicate yellow trees reflect off the dark surface of the lake, contrasting with the thick ranks of orange marching up the hillside. Painted in the audacious style of Banka, the painting retains a quiet charm in the singular movement of the graceful birds...

A nicely carved jade pig done in the Han style.Pigs represent prosperity and jade pigs were were placed in the hands of the deceased. Many jade pigs were used for this purpose in later times and are sometimes mistaken for Han pieces. Size: L.10cm. H. 2.8cm. W. 2.3cm. Condition: No chips. Some calcification.

It is a very beautiful and finely potted vase dated from the early Republic period. The vase is of ovid shape, the sides rising upwards from the base, curving in towards a slightly rounded shoulder and surmounted by a short curve neck upwards to short straight rim. The body is pure white and translucent. On the body of the vase, it is a scene of autumn period as shown by a beautiful bird perching on a tree almost bare of leaves...

A long bamboo incense case with dark wood lid carved exquisitely with blossoming lotus and calligraphy. The deteriorating leaves rise from the bottom, blossoms spreading their petals to the sun. Above three lines of calligraphy descend to meet like the squirreling rays of late summer light. The piece is 20-1/2 inches (51.5 cm) long and in perfect condition, enclosed in a cloth sack and kiri-wood box...

Rare Vietnamese 13th / 14th Century Green Glazed Ribbed Bowl

This rare high-fired porcelaneous bowl was made during the 13th / 14th century. The outer wall is decorated with a carved ribbed pattern and it is coated in a green glaze, the colour of which varies according to its thickness - there are lines of crackle in the glaze in places. An exquisite Japanese koro incense burner carved from a piece of plum blossom colored agate and enclosed in a period wooden box. It is 3-1/2 x 5 x 4-1/2 inches (9 x 12.5 x 11.5 cm) and is in excellent condition, dating from the early 20th century.

A set of seven very rare Pyu silver coins. Dated 100 to 900 AD. Some coins have holes in them, probably used for jewerly. Sizes: Large coin 2.4cm Smallest 1.4cm. Condition Fine. Natural patina.

Description: An ape with fine furs and aged skin squatted and grinned. Oxidized black deposits adhered to the metal surface and covered part of the detailed carving lines. Well molded and carved, this monkey was solid casted and vividly expressed by fine craftsmanship. An archaic metal piece was from ancient time with rare origin. Date: Liao Dynasty(AD907-1125) Height: 5.0cm

This is a charming lobed shaped tea-pot standing on four small individual feet. On one side it has a painting of a pair of sparrow in a blooming lotus pond. On the other side, it has a poem written on it. Circa. early Chinese Republic period 1940s-1950s.

No hairline crack, glaze fritting, damage, repair or restoration. The tea-pot is in good condition.

The dimension of the tea-pot: The height is 11.7cm, the length is 22cm and the width is 10cm.

A green-glazed bowl was decorated on the surface with painted floral patterns.

Indo Portuguese work, made in the 18th to early 19th century. Very well carved, note the eleborate dress. Remains of gilding. H. 22,5 cm. Condition: A part of the stand has been professionally restored (see picture) as well as the pinky fingers of the Virgin.

An excavated piece with lovely age wear. Tang Dynasty (618-906). The head is 7,5 cm high, with stand it is 18,5 cm high.

A very rare gilt figure of Buddha with hands in the earth-touching gesture. The facial features are characteristic of Burmese Buddhas of the time with very large ears and nose.

Very Rare Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Buddhist Lotus Jar with Sanskrit Inscription

This very rare, possibly unique, pottery jar was made between the 10th and 13th centuries, during the Five Dynasties period (AD 906 - 960), Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province. 

It is one of the most unusual Yunnan jars that we have seen. The design represents either lotus leaves or a lotus blossom...
