A Han Dynasty terra cotta horse head with a very animated expression. The pottery horse which symbolises speed and perseverance are buried along with the dead royalty and generals as funeary objects. It is a status symbol to be buried with pottery horses and horse head. The horse head is painted with white slip paint with red paint showing as the harness on the horse head.

The horse head has abrasion, wear and tear due to the long period of burial...

This is a Chinese Blanc de Chine libation cup, on a stand of molded branches, the exterior carved and molded with flowering prunus branches; 3 " high, 5" wide.

Description:

A SanCai(tri-colored) water pot from Tang Dynasty was in a beautiful look.
In a round shape, the ware was applied with characteristic triple colors(usually as brown, yellow and green) on the upper half of the surface, and left the lower portion unglazed.
The unglazed portion was revealed with the body clay which was in characteristically refined clay.
The beautiful glaze was preserved well but suffused with minute crackles...

Description: A rare and lovely Yaozhou russet-glazed incense burner was in simple form. Wide-mouthed and with high-set shoulders when the neck is narrowed and the lip is rolled, the jarlet was applied with persimmon glaze inside and out of the surface. The bottom was flat and was concaved to a round circle. The unglazed base had turned to a buff skin during firing, and in a firm quality which were all the characteristics for a Yaozhou ware. Description: A pair of jade plates were in transparent light green tint. By a shallow and flat foot ring, the plates were decently decorated on the surface with gilding motifs of leafy flowers, fruits, bamboos and pine trees. Carved in a light way, the vibrant plants were finely rendered before gold pigment was filled in to enlighten the whole picture against the celadon jade ground. A superb design of the picture can be noticed by the sophisticated composition...

Chinese Qing dynasty Daoguang period (1821-1850) geyao type porcelain censer of compressed bombe form with thick flat rim and two animal-mask handles at the sides. The pale gray glaze, covered overall with the characteristic black and brown crackles, completely covers the interior of the censer and the exterior of the ringed foot and extends part way down the interior foot of the recessed unglazed base. Measures 5” diameter from handle to handle and stands 2 ½” high...

This traditional Han child's silk hat is wonderfully embroidered with floral scenes around the brim, butterflies and birds around the sections of the crown, while tassels accentuate the upturned morterboard. The long draped wind protector section at the back shows fade line...otherwise the hat is in excellant condition.

Description:

A fine Guanyin piece was well carved.
By well maneuvered carving skill, the holy deity was clad with flouring robe and was featured with benign facial expression.
Nice patina was preserved while some whitish abrasions were observed.
A wooden cork was filled in at the bottom.

Date: Early Qing periods, 17th century.

Height: 10.5cm.

Condition: Very good, except some old cracks were found on the back(at the base).

Material: Ox horn...

Depicting a running figure, possibly a saint or deity. Diameter 10,5 cm. Condition: Fritting and minor chips to the rim. Provenance: Dutch private collection, collected in Indonesia ca. 40 years ago. Jiajing ( 1522-1566 ).

Description:
A pair of Jizhou tiger toys were excavated in original condition.
It is very hard to find genuine Jizhou wares with tortoisshell glaze.
It was unique too to find them in pairs even though they're dolls.
And most importantly they were in obvious condition for authentication.
The buried deposits were firmly left here and there on the surface.
And the glaze were partially crackled due to age.
The body clay were light brownish with soft matrix quality...

Description: A real scholar's item with Zen atmosphere of this piece was ingeniously made use of a root wood. With good old patina, this piece was in original condition without any restorations. It testified itself that it had been carefully treated and treasured by the past collectors despite its informal style among typical Chinese scholar's items. Description: One Temmoko tea bowl of Song dynasty was authenticated as a Jian kiln piece. Kept with beautiful glaze condition, the clay revealed at the foot rim yielded it's black purplish tint which justify it's origin. In typical everted shape, one crack line penetrated on the upper part of cavetto and some touch-ups were made to the glaze surface. Date: Song Dynasty(AD 12th Century) Width: 12.6cm Height: 4.8cm

Description: An old Yixing flower arrangement basin with inscription " Sui Qing Xe Qi" (the water is pure while the rock is unique) on one side and carved flower motif on the other side had a special Chinese scholar taste.
