A pair of mythical animals (mother and child) of a creamy jade color. It has small areas of natural brown, light orange and grey coloration and inclusions. The jade is beautifully carved and feels lovely to the touch. The curled tail of the smaller animal forms a round hole which enables a thin rope to be put through it. Absolutely endearing. A finely decorated Vietnamese blue and white porcelain bowl. Thinly potted and with a crackled glaze over blue and white aquatic decoration suggesting waves on the bowl's exterior, a conch shell inside the cavetto and surrounded by a variety of blossoming flowers among grasses. Good condition with expected wear including a couple minor chips inside the foot rim and light abrasion inside the bowl. Diameter at widest point 6 1/8 inches (15.56cm). Description: A Longquan celadon-glazed water pot was mold with a narrowed mouth, merged body and a well shaped foot ring. Yielded under the glaze with evenly spread crackles of iron wires all over the surface including the center of the foot ring, adding with the iron brownish foot ring, the small water pot was imitated to the Ge-typed wares of Song Dynasty in a charming look. The tint is much darken and greener in real than in the pictures...

Kokeshi, wooden folk toy of NE Japan. Height: 12". This is an example of "Tougatta-kei" tradition of Miyagi Prefecture. The artisan is Satou Katsuyou, who was born on April 24th, 1944 (Showa 19.) Lidded crystal eyes gaze serenely down from the Rakans purchase high on the lofty temple walls. The face is expertly crafted, with a distinct Chinese air reflecting the fact the Rakan (Arahat) were all from the Continent. The robes of green, white and red are patterned with scrolling vines and dials. A dedication on back Appears to be Made for/by Konoike-mura Hachiuemon and is dated Ho-Ei 7 (1710). Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Dish - Binh Thuan Shipwreck

This blue & white "Swatow" porcelain dish was made during the Wanli Reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. It is coated in a thick crackled glaze and decorated in underglaze cobalt blue of very good colour. The decoration is the "double phoenix" pattern, two phoenixes standing facing each other, presumably male and female, surrounded by foliage and peony blossoms...

A pair of Himalayan masks inset with glass beads originating in either Tibet or Nepal and probably made circa 1900 - 1940. Condition - very good. 8 inches (20cm) high.

This is a Chinese Blanc de Chine libation cup, on a stand of molded branches, the exterior carved and molded with flowering prunus branches; 3 " high, 5" wide.

Chinese Song Dynasty Incised Celadon Porcelain Bowl

This porcelain bowl was made in the 12th - 13th Century during the latter part of the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). It is fairly "heavily-potted" and coated in a transparent pale celadon glaze, save for the foot that remains unglazed. The inner surface is decorated with incised floral patterns. It is most likely a product of the Anqi kilns in Fujian Province.

A pair of rare Koto-yaki sake flasks decorated with florals and dating from the 19th century. Written on the side is the kiln name Koto (East Lake). Each piece is roughly 6 inches (15 cm) tall and in fine condition but for a chip on the inside of the foot ring of one.
Koto ware is one of those rare and highly prized ceramics of low production, once the official kiln of the Ii clan in Hikone on the Eastern Shores of Lake Biwa, its production rand from the early to late 19th century...

One nice statue was finely cast.
Old patina was well preserved.

Description:

A porcelain stem-cup was uniquely molded.
By a geometric pattern of lines and circles which were composed by dozens of pointed clay dunes on the outer surface, the stem-cup was applied with the milky-yellow glaze inside and outside until to the portion of the stem trunk.
Obvious glaze crackles and fading condition were caused by the enduring age when one minute old chip was found on the mouth rim...

A finely painted and gilt pair of Japanese lacquer ware dishes, on black ground and decorated in iro-e-togidashi, togidashi maki-e and kirigane maki-e of shikishi moyou ; the three asymetrically-positioned panels depict a landscape with bridge, buildings in the field and birds. Rare Chinese Neolithic Pottery Tripod - Qijia Culture

This rare pottery tripod ("li") was made some 4,000 years ago. Although similar vessels were made by various Chinese Neolithic cultures, we believe this particular example to have been made by potters of the Qijia Culture (c. 2050 - 1700 BC).
