A fine Meiji era cloisonne vase with decoration of colorful chidori flying over young bamboo all over an even mauve-violet background. The chidori with black, dark orange, light gray blue, and white details. The bamboo with green and some yellow details. A fine border appears along the rim and the foot. Condition is good. A slight scratch here and a light rub there...
Dark Cognac to Chocolate brown depending on the light, these three slopeback French leather club chairs have fixed cushions. A light, comfortable seat with original leather. Some crazing on the arms, consistent with age and use. Overall very good condition. Rare to find a set of three matching chairs, but this set can be broken up & purchased as a single or a pair.

Matching the set of sterling cufflinks that are also currently available in my inventory, a Margot de Taxco equestrian brooch in superb repousse with depth enhanced by gorgeous patina and Margot's signature quality in the design's execution. It measures 2 1/4" wide by 1" tall and weighs 12.1 grams. Fully signed with her name, a not so well stamped Eagle mark (should be Eagle 16) as well as with des. no 5160 the brooch dates in the 1950s-60s and is in excellent vintage condition.
Here is a hard-to-find Billiken stick pin! Billiken was patented in 1908 by Florence Pretz, in Kansas City, MO. She designated him “the god of things as they ought to be” – what a fantastic conceit! I find the animal's portrait majestic - the way it holds its head allows its strength and beauty to come out in the best possible way. Nailed head, classic 1930's styling, all original leather. This is the type of club chairs that are often copied, but seldom do they capture the patina and charm of the real thing. Good overall condition for the age.

A spectacular set of bira-bira-kanzashi hair pins in the form of cranes among blossoming plum and pine formed of silver which come enclosed in a custom made silk-lined wooden box. Two are 13 inches (33 cm) long, the other is 9 inches (23 cm) long and all are in fine condition. According to a label inside the box they are from Akita City in Northern Japan, sold by Takeyaso Hon-ten. The box is 15 x 17 x 5 inches (38 x 43 x 13 cm). I do have more images if someone is interested.
