Stunning sterling and amethyst clip earrings by Arizona Modernist H. Fred Skaggs. They measure 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" long and are in fine original condition. Signed as shown. Beautiful stones and craftsmanship.

 

Well and thickly potted dish with foliated lip rim, decorated with molded of a pair of Phoenix in the center, covered overall with green glaze. Song/Yuan dynasty. Condition with re-touched to rim. Diameter: 28.5cm.

William Spratling is famous for his tulip design and this brooch is an excellent example of his work. The tulip has no cracks or damage and is properly hallmarked as shown. The length is 2.25in. long and 1in. at it's widest. The piece has great depth and dimension and weighs 22 grams.

Today we have a rare William Spratling tulip necklace that is approximately 17in. long. The drop is 2 in. tall and the amethyst tulips are a lilac in color and with striations of crystals inside the well cut stones. The neck chain is 4 strands of tube beads which lead to the turtle clasp that hooks off and on to get in and out of the necklace. The condition is excellent with no dents or damage and this treasure has been professionally re-strung as 70 years of age had broken the strands...

This ancient conch shell bead from the Pyu period and dates back to around the first century. It represents the emblem of the voice of Buddha preaching the laws of his doctrine, and occurs as one of the auspicious signs on the "Footprint of Buddha". Size: L. 2.2cm. Condition: No repairs. In the enlarged photos you will see the natural faults of the stone but is not very noticeable with the naked eye.

A set of stacking brass coasters in the shape of a cannon shell complete with dial settings on the warhead made for the Shobido company in the 1930s or 40s and enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Stacked it is 10 inches (25 cm) tall, 3 inches (7.5 c) diameter and in excellent condition.

An elegant rendition of the famous Rimpa Crane standing alongside a swirling river of silver created by Shoun for the Shobido Art Studio enclosed in the original wooden box. An important table dinner bell by the renowned partnership of silversmiths Wakelin and Taylor, London, 1787. Turned ivory handle; the silver bell engraved with all-over decoration including motifs of foliate scrolls, birds, swags, and an armoured helm, together with a family crest. This is an unmarked older Mexican silver repousse treasure. The length is 7.5in. long and 1 7/8th's of an inch tall. Each link is curved to lay beautifully on the arm. The quality rivals the Los Castillo design and weighs 74 grams heavy.

Oak Arts and Crafts settle. Circa 1910. Size: 76.5 inches length x 30.5 inches depth x 34.5 inches ht. This settle was inspired by Gustav Stickley's Model 210, but is slightly shorter and shallower. Offered in its original condition, with new green velour cushions.

Horace Brown (American, 1876-1949) - a pair of landscape paintings by this Springfield, VT artist: one being a signed work of a wooden outbuilding in summer and the second a view of a saltbox cabin in winter, which is unsigned but also has an unfinished sketch of a farm building painted on the verso.
