A mother of pearl silver plated fruit set for 12 in the original box from the 1900 era. This late Victorian or Edwardian unsigned set features the solid stained wood box (probably oak) and it has a satin lined lid with fitted plush mounts for the 24 pieces of cutlery. It has a tray holding half the set which consists of the fancy engraved 7-1/2" knives and the 6-1/8" fruit forks. Beautifully hand crafted sterling silver & copper link bracelet designed & signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-57). Measuring 1/2" wide the bracelet will comfortably fit up to a 6 1/2" wrist. It's 8" long unclasped. Beads are constructed on all sides giving the bracelet height and dimension on the wrist. This pair of Matl earrings are of the double birds design which is quite scarce. They are unmarked and came from a hallmarked, matching Matl necklace and bracelet parure in my collection. Many parure earrings are not hallmarked. However, they are unmarked and the price reflects such. They are 1.25 in. wide and 2 in. long. The carving on the tops is exceptional. They are screwbacks and could be converted to posts. Please call with any questions.

Of solid cast bronze, and weighing 10 pounds, this simply detailed Buddha measures 12 3/4" from feet to top of ushnisha, and 13 1/2" including wood base. This Buddha is classicaly Sri Lankan, from the elegant and thin form to the flame or Sirispata Ushnisha on the head. Nicely detailed, with a deep brown patina, the figure is in excellent condition, with a minor loss to the central flame tip, visible in photos. Very striking in size and style, it appears to date to the early 20th century.
