Description:

A stylized Ruyi was rarely found by cast bronze quality.
In unique and beautiful plum flowers and branches form, the bronze Ruyi was put firmly on a stand as a treasured item or on a desk as a nice brush-rest.
It was in quite good size which was rarely found too.
The darken patina was yielded due to age when the overall condition is perfect.

A very rare Chinese Nanmu scholar's table chest. Nanmu wood has been used in China since the Han dynasty and is very prized by collectors as it is difficult to find. A peach-bloom glazed water basin was in nice shape.
Well glazed in gradient tints, the basin was revealed with finely-grained body clay at the foot ring when darken firing effects was resulted within.
It was used for some time. Crackled wires were yielded inside the basin.

A beautiful and well made scholar's screen made of blackwood and having the original marble insert. Most of the marble in early pieces have been replaced. The frame for the marble has a key fret design. The base has carvings of two peaches, representing longevity, and the peony for prosperity. Age: Early 19th century. Size: H. 64cm. W. 43.5cm.
