Description: With incurving rim, a small Jun bowl was shaped elegantly.
In two purple splashed strokes, the bowl was added with more charming atmosphere.
Being glazed over all inside and outside of the surface, the bowl’s foot ring was left unglazed in a firm and regular shape. Incursions were amid the glaze cracks when earth was adherent to the pinheads of the burst bubbles.

Cranes flock to the shore, greeted by their compatriots grazing among dry winter grasses on the wave lapped beach of this anonymous pair of Mid Edo period six panel screens. Performed with Ink and pigment on paper with scattered gold flake in a blue silk border with kuwa (mulberry) wood frame and sturdy blue cloth backing. Fully remounted, each screen is 65 x 142 inches (165 x 361 cm). A quintessential Kano style Edo period scene.
A nice small qingpai funerary powder box in the shape of the lotus flower in three small pod. The flowers petals has dropped off showing the base of the flowers.
In good condition with the exception of some expected abrasion and manufacturing faults as shown in the photographs. Some rough edges and minute sand grits on the cover. No damage, crack, chip or any restoration.

A very interesting and beautifully made sterling parrot necklace by Tane, the silver manufacturing company in Mexico City whose emphasis is on quality. The founders arrived in Mexico City in 1942 and the Tane Company greatly expanded in the 1960's and 1970's with the assistance of Tiffany & Co. A Beautifully carved tube shaped jade. It is hard to date this piece and say that it is from the Hongshan period (3000BC). It is most likely from a later period as these item are extremely rare. It is not know what these were used for but it is thought to be for the hair ornament to hold the pony tail.
