Very dramatic deeply concave oval shaped African shield from Ethiopia. The animal hide is scraped free of hair and then placed over a shaped board with protrusions which will allow for greater protection in warding off blows. The edge is tightly rolled and there are added tool marks for heightened decoration. The handle is tied and knotted into place at a slight angle to allow for a more comfortable hold.

This Spratling design necklace is deeply carved with a large repousse silver ball at the drop measuring 2.5in x 2 7/8th's in. Wearable length is 16.75in. long. A pair of Japanese mixed metal vases or urns beautifully decorated with dragons winding around the body of the vases with designs of clouds inlayed in gold and silver metal with elephant head handles inset with gold metal eyes. Measuring approx. 5.5 inches tall in good antique condition. A fine pair of the finest quality would enhance any collection.

This is an old pre-1948 repousse necklace with great depth and dimension. The drop makes it's presence known but is still a size that can go to the board room with ease. The drop is 3in. across and 1.5in. tall. It is puffy repousse but still weighs in at a hefty 61 grams. The earrings and links are 1.25 in. long. The bead work is all hand applied which was labor intensive. No dents and no repairs or damage. You do not find pieces with this much panache very often and with a fabulous pectoral as ...

This pouring vessel is in the form polychrome (Wucai) Kendi. It dates from the Wanli period. Measure : H=16 cm, W = 11 cm. It is in execellent condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration but with loss the enamel.

A lux Antonio Pineda ring properly hallmarked as shown with 3 silver stair steps to a teal, blue green stone which I believe to be turquoise. The size is currently a 6.5 and can be sized by most jewelers. The face of the ring is one inch tall and 7/8th's inch wide. The thick silver weight is 16grams. This ring with a different stone is featured in an interview with Antonio Pineda in modernsilver.com by Patrick Kapty 11/11/2000.

Large Chinese Qing dynasty celadon charger decorated in the interior with a carved scrolling peony motif. Late 19th century to circa 1900. 15 1/2” diameter x 2 5/8” high.
