Stunning Matl-Salas sterling silver Palomas combination pin/pendant with meticulously worked repoussage and coral, amethyst and turquoise jewels. One of the most impressive pieces I have seen, its quality makes me think that it's an early 1980s example and its size just has me dazzled. I have paired it with an earlier, handwrought Mexican chain with elaborate links and appropriate length for such a stupendous pendant - the result is, to my eyes at least - beyond words.....

Fantastic! This brooch is in the style of Miriam Haskell, though unsigned. Various sizes and shapes of prong-set clear rhinestones along with faceted crystals of varying shapes and sizes. Double layer filigree backing typical of old Haskell. Great worn at the waist or to accent a plunging neckline. Over all length 4 3/4", width 2 1/4", depth 1". Very chunky and very well made.

A 10k white gold Eastern Star black onyx white sapphires and genuine gemstones ring circa 1960s. This vintage size 9 consists of an all-white gold setting holding a eound carved and shaped black onyx with a stepped style. The white gold Eastern Star insignia is set on the top platform of the onyx and it has genuine gemstones in green, red, yellow, blue and clear...

A set of figurines depicting a courtly Chinese couple by Miyanaga Tozan enlclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Choan no Haru from the Tang period tales. Each is expertly molded and painstakingly decorated in a Kyo-satsuma style signed in gold on the base of each. They stand roughly 13 inches (33 cm) tall each and are in excellent condition. The title calls to mind any number of ancient Chinese poems...

Fine LARGE Chinese Han Dynasty Glazed Hu Jar with Hunting Scene

This superb and impressive pottery jar (hu) was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It is made from a fairly high-fired reddish pottery and coated in a particularly attractive streaky dark green and finely-crackled glaze, the colour of which varies according to its thickness. Interestingly, the drips of glaze to the mouth rim and the pooling of glaze to the flat base show that this jar was fired upside down...

Description:

A celadon Longquan long-neck bottle was survived from excavation in a nice condition.
By characteristics of the well mold body, the slightly inverted foot ring, the darken firing effects happened to the body clay and the pale gray tint of the revealed body clay, the lovely bottle was verified as from Southern Song Dynasty or at least from early Yuan periods.

The bottle was being excavated from the kiln site by some evidences...

Presented here is a Murano Gaucho Musician figure from the 1950's in green SFUMATO and crystal glass, with heavy gold foil inclusions. The GUITARIST is perfect with no chips, cracks or repairs. I have reduced the priced on the figure. The figure is unsigned but has been attributed to Barovier & Toso. The figure stands 11.25 inches (28.5 cm) Tall. Circa 1950.

Rare Large Chinese Han Dynasty Bronze Xian (Published)

This exceptionally large and rare bronze xian (steamer) was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220) and actually comprises three separate vessels that combine to form the xian. The middle section sits within the lower section, and on top sits the upper section, the part that has the grill in its base to allow steam to enter the vessel. Each section is decorated with raised bands and a pair of taotie ring handles...

Description:

An olive-shape Jizhou vase was applied with beautiful tortoiseshell glaze all over the surface.
By characteristic flat bottom, the buff-tinted body clay was revealed in the soft-feel quality.
They were the characteristics for Jizhou wares.
Upon the glaze being well preserved in a very good condition, the immensely spread crackles were yielded with pinpoint holes which caused from incursions.
It is rare to find a Jizhou bottle in such good condition...

An Edwardian 18k yellow gold 3 diamonds row ring from the 1915-20 period. This antique size 7-3/4 ring has three stones in a row; the middle is approximately 12 points and the outer two are 10 points (by gauge), they are a modern brilliant cut, so may be replaced diamonds. This ring weighs 1.8 grams and it is stamped *JWB* 18CT...

Rare Chinese Yuan Dynasty Black Pottery Horse

This small and attractive pottery model of a horse was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). It is quite "heavily-potted" and made from a black pottery with a smooth burnished surface. Note the detail to its mane. Pottery horses from the Yuan dynasty are much rarer than those from other periods.

Bold, sensuous sterling silver cuff bracelet designed and signed (c.1955) by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar. Bracelet measures 3 1/2 inches wide from the top of the left curled end to the bottom of the right curled end, it is 1 1/2" wide in the center and 2 1/2" on each individual end. 6" interior length with 1 1/8 gap opening for a total wearable length of 7 inches.
