Vintage anonymous Japanese oil painting on canvas attached with original wooden frame, titled 'Portrait of Kenjiro', with the painter's sign as 'Yuri', Showa period, mid-late 20th century. Frame: 30.5 x 34.3 x 5 cm (12.00 x 13.50 x 1.96in), Canvas: 14 x 18 x 1.8 cm (5.51 x 7.08 x 0.70in). No glass/acrylic plate and no fixation ( with no metal fittings or nails or so) for framing canvas as in original condition...

Fine Sung dynasty celadon deep dish or bowl in olive brown glaze. Glaze is silky yet some wear to bottom of the bowl as would be expected. Additionally there is wear to the base rim. In good overall condition. Diameter: 8.50 inches; height: 2 inches.

The center stone in this 18Kt white gold Art Deco style engagement ring is a 0.67Ct brilliant cut diamond that has J color and VVS2 clarity. The setting is further enhanced by 44 small diamonds spread out throughout the entire openwork setting. The total weight of all diamonds is 0.95Ct. The ring is a size 6 ¾ and can easily be sized.

A Beautifully carved tube shaped jade. It is hard to date this piece and say that it is from the Hongshan period (3000BC). It is most likely from a later period as these item are extremely rare. It is not know what these were used for but it is thought to be for the hair ornament to hold the pony tail. Size: See Last photo

Qingbai double gourd ewer with stylized dragon handle with an iron brownish splash on the neck ; bluish white glaze stopping above the base which is concave and unglazed. Yuan Dynasty 13th-14th Centuries. Height = 14 cm, Width=14 cm. Condition : handle restored.

One hundred herbs prayer bead bracelet from the boarder town between China and Tibet. These type of prayer bead is believed to be good for curing all types of sickness. The beads are made by compressing 100 herbs into a ball. There are 18 beads in all. Age: Pre 1920. Size: inside radius 7cm. It is stringed with a new stretch string to fit all. Condition: Very good for its age.

At least two stories are forwarded to describe this ritual phurba -1 they are as protector of crops stored in granaries. 2- they are used during funerals , the bird is supposed to take away the souls of dead people during cremation or other burial ceremonies These type of phurba seems peculiar to Gurung priests or shamans. Important soot patina indicative of an important age , at least early to mid 20th. H 28 cm ,

A gentleman standing in courtly robes takes advantage of a warm spring night to get in some reading. Standing on the balcony he puts light to a hanging lantern, illuminating cherry blossoms wrapped in evenings misty veil beyond the rail. This is an excellent example of Meiji period Yamato-e signed Saiho which has been fully re-mounted in quality patterned brocade, and retaining the original bone rollers...

This finely burnished blackware effigy vessel comes from Peru and dates c.a.1000-1470AD. It is a beautifully constructed representational of a squirrel measuring approximately 7 inches in length In excellent condition a minor restored chip to the spout (see close up) i. A large, heavy, bronze censer decorated in Chinese late Ming dynasty style with a large Wanli (1573-1619) type dragon. This item was made in Japan, probably for export, during the Meiji period (1868-1911). The base mark reads - "Great Japan Tokyo Murakami Zo". Condition - very good - just minor losses to back of dragon ( see enlargement no.2)...

Probably my favorite among the Taxco modernists, Salvador Teran has that magic touch which allows him to draw a perfectly "readable" picture with the least amount of strokes. His work is inspired and his ability to deal with different materials and always create wearable pieces of art is simply unbelievable. In this set of abstract earrings my eyes see the figures of two birds...

A rare & finely Ming style garlic head b/w wall vase with lobed side body, decorated vividly with main decoration of lotus blossoms. Four characters "Qian Long Nien Zhe" mark and of the period. Excellent condition. High: 17.5cm.

Understandably, the Mexican talleres happily joined in the fun and created some spectacular examples. Offered is an absolutely wonderful, giant-sized, 1960's, dental toothbrush which once served as an advertising display piece for "DR. WEST'S MIRACLE TUFT" toothbrushes!!

It measures a mammoth 18 inches long and is perfect for display in any dental collection, including in the dentist's office!

The condition is very good with some scratches and unobtrusive bent bristles (perhaps it was slightly used by the Jolly Green Giant??)...

An oval Italian shell cameo set in 14Kt yellow gold depicting a left facing portrait of a woman with a diamond necklace. The pin/pendant measures 1 1/8” high and 13/16” wide. The bail folds down whet it is worn as a pin.

Intricately inlaid mosaic sterling silver and chrysocolla yin yang hands necklace designed and signed by American/Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Dating from the 1950's the necklace measures 17 1/2 inches long. The crossed hands pendant measures 5 1/8" inches across and 3 inches from the bottom of the design to the top of the silver loop. A fabulous large Mingei Tokkuri from the Satsuma region in the shape of an eggplant, glazed in black with crystalline blue about the neck over iron rich glazed clay. Likely from the Hirasa kilns, one of the great Satsuma production centers on the southern Island of Kyushu, 18th to early 19th century. It is 24 cm (10 inches) tall and in overall excellent condition, enclosed in a kiri-wood collectors’ box...
