Description: A nice nephrite jade piece was carved as a crane carrying a branch of peaches with her beak. Metaphorical symbol of longevity in Chinese custom, Crane (Her -or wish to) and peach (longevity) altogether means- wish you happy and longevity. A beautiful fingering piece was carved with very good skill. Light celadon tint and some natural jade tissues stand her a true Ho-Tien pebble stone...

 

A bamboo brush pot carved in relief of a sage in contemplation wearing a flowing robe surrounded by nature - the hills are carved in relief while trees, grasses and flowers are etched around him. To his right side is a feather fan. There is a signed poem about his feather fan inscribed to the left of the carvings. It is a serene, well proportioned, beautifully carved piece. A bronze official's seal with the Chinese characters meaning "natural" and "pure." The top of the seal has a seated rabbit with its long ears folded behind its head. The rabbit is well-formed and proportioned down to the details of the toes on its paws. Period: Western Jin Size: (Seal) 2.4 cm x 2.4 cm., Height = 2.7 cm. Condition: Very good.

A celadon dish with Lotus shape, covered overall with olive green glazed. Base with brown wash. Ching dynasty 18th century. Condition: re-touched two flake glaze and minor hairline, further in good condition. Diameter: 26.5 cm

A very tall footed chawan by Kawai Kanjiro enclosed in a fine Kiri-wood box endorsed by his daughter Koha, head of the Kawai Kanjiro Museum. The piece is very much in this potters unique style. The pale rough clay is covered in ash colored glaze with a wide band of soft green, within which are two floral scribbles in red and blue. The bowl is 6 inches (15 cm) diameter, 3-3/4 inches (9 cm) tall and is in perfect condition...

Great looking sterling clip earrings designed by the Swedish designer Rey Urban for the Danish company A. Fausing. They are three dimensional and very tactile. Measuring 1" by 1", they are in fine original condition and signed as shown. They come in their original suede drawstring bag. Terrific earrings.

A nicely blue & white dish, decorated in the center with figure of Shoulao in "Shou" calligraphy, underside with figurine on the landscape. It is a typical ware of Ming dynasty late 15th to early 16th century, Hongzhi (1488-1505) period Mingyao ware. Condition with one tiny chip, no crack and free from any restoration as well. Diameter: 11.8 cm.

Blue & White bowl, decorated outside with a pair of Lion Foo Dogs playing brocaded ball, the interior center with flower spray within double circle and diaper pattern design around the rim. Late Ming dynasty 16th-17th century Wanli-Thianqi period. Condition restored small "D" shape re-stuck to the rim, further in good condition and wonderful glaze. Diameter: 15.4 cm and High: 7.8 cm.

A finely private kiln ware blue & white bowl, decorated at the exterior with four lion foo dogs in playing and the interior center with a lion within double circle. Ming dynasty late 15th century Chenghua-Hongzhi period. Condition with a little bit flaw inside the center, otherwise is excellent with no any chips or cracks, free from restoration. Diameter: 14.6 cm.

 

A beautiful antique American portrait of a young girl circa. 1890 framed in a spectacular period frame. Oil painted on an oval canvas measuring 16x20 inches and overall framed size approx. 26 x 30 inches. The painting is signed lower right C. T. Webb and titled with the Childs name on the reverse. In very good condition some minor touch ups and the frame has some touch ups to the gold leaf liner. Overall a very fine and decorative antique painting.
