The clean design of this ring focuses on two sterling straps that secure a rectangular bar of tiger’s eye. The stone is in very nice condition with no chips or visible scratches; a tiny bit of adhesive on the mount provides it some extra security. The ring, which dates most likely from the 1970s to early 1980s, is marked sterling inside the plain molded band. It is a size 6.

Dark romantic Bohemian rose cut garnet brooch from the late 19th century set in star cluster. It is 1 3/8" in diameter.

A beautifully made sterling bracelet of concave tear drop shaped links by Danish Modernist Bent Knudsen. The bracelet clasp has one of his ingenious screw bolt clasps. Measuring 7 1/2" end to end, it is 5/8" wide and weighs 75 grams. Fine original condition and signed and numbered as shown. A wonderful Danish Modernist design.

The "WAVY BOW" pin is one of the rarest and LARGEST sterling pins by the famous designer William Spratling, Mexico, c.1940. This glorious HANDMADE` piece of art measures 6 1/2" by 2 7/8" and is signed "SPRATLING SILVER(in oval) WS(in circle-around which says) SPRATLING MADE IN MEXICO". The design is a stylized generous dotted bow looping around with 7 buttercup flowers peeking through the bow. Photographed on page 122 in "WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE"...

It's been a while since I presented a piece by Gerardo Lopez but he is one of my favorite Taxco maestros, a talented silversmith and designer who excelled in the art of repoussage. I believe Lopez was at his best when he created pectoral necklaces and clamper bracelets and it is an exquisite example of the latter form that I am showing here...

Vintage Modernist sculptural ring stamped: ISRAEL 925 and an indented silversmith's touch mark in size 7 1/2. Mod mid century styling and look at the five 'pods'....

This traditional, Norwegian solje pin, c. 1950’s, was made by Aksel Holmsen. It has an appealing stamped design and six dangling, concave disks. The back is signed, “NORWAY STERLING 925 S,” and has the Holmsen maker’s mark (2 overlapping silversmith tools--see pictures). The brooch has a C-catch and a diameter of 1”. It is in excellent condition.

Constructed as mold-pressed disks with raised reserves and scrolled borders. The disks test as sterling; the removable bridge bars are marked sterling. All connecting rings are original, as are the bridge bars. Each disk button measures ½ inch in diameter. Weight: 2.8 grams total

A Nestor Mexico sterling Mosaico Azteca pin and earrings set. This great looking Mexican sterling silver pin and matching screwback earrings is by Nestor, a respected designer in (probably) the 1950s. This early Antonio Pineda bracelet is quite rare and all out spectacular. His "Silver By Tono" hallmark dates 1948-1953. Eight teardrop amethyst cabs in almost pure silver panels which alternate up and down, each separated by four silver balls. Pin closure. Weight is 98.9 grams. Measures 8" end to end, width 1 1/4". Closed, wearable length is 6 3/4". Signed and hallmarked "Silver By Tono Mexico". In excellent vintage condition.

An amazing sterling silver modernist heavy cuff bracelet adorned with two crescent shaped Mother of Pearl cabochons by the renown Israeli jeweler, Rachel Gera. Measures 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1". This cuff is rigid and has no give. The cabochons were intentionally set off center. Measures 7/8" wide. Signed on the back Handmade, Israel, Gera and 925. Fine condition. It is a little out of round. Heavy and substantial. Better for a smaller wrist. Wonderful piece of modernist jewelry.

An Arts and Crafts sterling silver brooch by the Chicago silver firm, Kalo. Measures approximately 1 1/4" high and 2" long. Marked Hand Wrought Sterling Kalo and 107. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Beautiful condition. Nice dark patina.

Measuring 27" long, this 940 sterling silver & copper necklace was designed c. 1940-50's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). The center disc is 1 1/2" wide graduating to 1/2" at the back. Weight is 124 grams. Beautiful condition & patina. Each disc is connected to the next with a silver rivet giving the design fluid movement. Signed TAXCO HA 940 eagle #9. A similar necklace is pictured on p. 140 of Silver Masters of Mexico by Penny Morrill.

Made in one of the countries of mainland South-east Asia which were, at the time, under French colonial control, this silver repousse brooch bespeaks the level of craftsmanship local silversmiths had attained and their attention to composition and design execution. Amazing pendant / brooch by Michigan silversmith John Pagacz, circa 1950s. In sterling silver with three cultured pearls. The two darkened areas in the center are recessed, oxidized to create the patina, and hand detailed with a pattern. The workmanship in Pagacz's work is truly amazing. Unsigned. Has both a loop for a chain, and a pin mechanism so that the piece can be worn as a brooch. Measures a large 2.25" x 1.5. Excellent vintage conditon.

The floral pair measure 5/8" across. The spiral pair are 3/4" across and 1/2" high. Both pair are marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S Denmark, and 36 and style 102 respectively. The spiral earrings were designed by Arno Malinowski.

This pre-1948 bracelet produced by Frederick Walter Davis features nine amethyst cabochons set in repoussé silver panels with a sunrise design.

Twin fish necklace in amethyst and brass signed MAYA MEXICO after a design first introduced by Hubert Harmon (c.1940-50). This necklace will comfortably fit up to a 15 inch neck. The two fish and amethyst drop measure 5 1/2 inches across. Both fish have an amethyst eye and a faceted amethyst stone extending from their tail. A single amethyst cab hangs between the 2 fish. Each brass chain measures 5 1/2 inches.

A charming set of substantial feel and festive look. All pieces are formed as swimming fish decorated with bright pink rhinestones along the belly and amethyst glass cabochons for eyes. Being offered is a circa 1963 sterling silver necklace by Los Ballesteros of Taxco, Mexico, boasting a modern biomorphic design. Dimensions wearable 15 1/2”, 1 3/4" at its widest. Marked. In excellent condition. Necklace is solid silver, not hollow, and weighs a heavy 4 ozs. Los Ballesteros is one of the great Mexican silversmiths.

Here is a coral garland (also referred to as “festoon” or “swag”) necklace, consisting of 8 coral cabuchons of graduated lengths and sizes. The three longest drops are on rigid bars. Antonio Pineda was masterful with this design. Each stone of onyx is reflected by 4 silver mirrors. The bracelet has a length of 7in and a height of 1in. This is properly signed and is one of the Pineda's featured in the book SILVER SEDUCTION. The weight is 95 grams of 970 pure silver. The presence is rich and sleek. Hard to find and in a condition with no issues. All stones are without chips. This was difficult to photograph as the "mirrored" reflections blur the lines. Much better seen in pers...

Each of these five late 19th-century heart charms is decorated with embossed scrolls; included is also an engraved faux lock of the same period. The hearts are identical, with one showing minor impacts; the lock looks to be hardly worn. All have their bails intact and are marked sterling on the back. Each heart measures 1/2 inch wide by 3/4 inch long, including the bail; the locket measures just under ½ inch wide by 5/8 inch long. Weight: 4.8 grams total
