A vintage modernist silver necklace with a large central pendant by the master sculptor and artist from Ecuador, Oswaldo Guayasamin.
The central pendant measures 2 3/4" long and 3/4" wide. Also measures 3/4" deep. The pendant has a textured front surface and polished sides and back. The pendant has an additional silver squiggle with what looks like onyx beads suspended in front of the textured surface. It moves independently.

A vintage hand made Arts and Crafts period hammered silver pendant by Albert Kahlbrandt, (1878-1961), Hamburg, Germany.
Possibly 800 silver, there is a tiny touch mark on the front near the top.
Pendant measures 2 1/4" long and 1 1/2" across. Marked Handarbeit, Kahlbrandt and Hamburg and the number 8. Mark is partially obscured by extra solder, not sure why it is there.
Chain measures 10" long on each side. Has a spring clasp that holds securely.

I could never exaggerate the sparkle of the two big, faceted color-change sapphires that adorn the opposing “wings” forming the face of the modernist Enrique Ledesma Mexican hinged bracelet at hand! Set here against untreated sterling (quite often, Ledesma uses niello-type oxidation to enhance the contrast between gemstone and silver) the stones pass from amethyst to a steely purple under different light conditions thus mimicking the behavior of alexandrites...
A visit to Maisel’s Trading Post was de rigueur for tourists visiting New Mexico before the store closed in the late 1960s after Mr. Maisel’s death. (It was later reopened in 1980 by a grandson, but closed again in 2019.) Bold and striking long sterling earrings designed by Karl Gustav Hansen for Hans Hansen of Denmark. These earrings are from the "Future" line of jewelry manufactured by Hans Hansen between 1932 and 1948. They hang 2 3/4" long, are 3/4" wide at the bottoms and are screw backs. Weighing 11 grams total, they are in fine original condition. A fabulous Modernist design.
A beautifully made sterling bracelet of concave tear drop shaped links by Danish Modernist Bent Knudsen. The bracelet clasp has one of his ingenious screw bolt clasps. Measuring 7 1/2" end to end, it is 5/8" wide and weighs 75 grams. Fine original condition and signed and numbered as shown. A wonderful Danish Modernist design.
Ca 1960 A pierced sterling malachite and gold tumi that may be worn as a pendant or brooch. The tumi tests 18k, and it is marked 925 on the bale. The malachite has a few flea bites but they're only evident with magnification and bright light. 1-1/8" square.Weight 10.5grams.

Unusual mid-century modernist organist or brutalist panel bracelet. Clearly handmade and unique, as each panel is different from the next. Wonderful motion and dimensionality, as there are pierces, raised areas and spikes rising from the bracelet. Unsigned, tests as sterling. Measures 7" in length and 5/8" wide.
Bold high-set modernist crystal ring by Swedish designer Gison Liedholm. The setting makes quite a statement, soaring a full 3/4" above the band. Made in the middle of the 20th Century. Wonderfully designed cuff bracelet by Henry Steig, a well known Modernist jewelry designer working in New York City in the 1950s. In 1950 he opened a New York City shop at 51st and First, and a summer store in Provincetown, Massachusetts. In 1955 he moved his NYC shop to 52nd and Lexington. Constructionist brooch by important jewelry maker Sam Kramer, who produced avant-guarde jewelry in his New York based shop in the 1950s. This interesting piece consists of two arked triangular shaped pieces, which move freely on a tall silver bar.
