Impressive in size this vintage Janna Thomas Mexican silver pendant is an example of the "pluma Azteca" technique which incorporates vividly colored bird feathers in sterling jewelry. This fabulous vintage Mexican Bracelet has a stunning design similar to the work of Antonio Pineda - it's signed with the initials AP but they differ from the more common Pineda hallmark and we're not sure who the artist is. It's a massive piece measuring 7" long, 1" wide and is quite heavy at 115.5 grams. Early style pin closure. No damage noted, just some light wear and tarnish and the Amethyst stones have the typical inclusions. A fantastic bracelet that any collector will love.

These stunning Antonio Pineda Amethyst Earrings have a Modernist style with a elongated tapered tube of silver with a cone shaped amethyst stone set to dangle at the bottom. Spratling designed this eye catching "entwined hands" buckle in the late 1940's. Measuring 5" X 2 1/4" & weighing 49 grams the piece is in beautiful condition. The back loops will accommodate up to a 1 inch strap. The buckle can also be worn as a pendant. Spratling also designed a similar "hands" necklace. Hallmarks are WS 925. A later version, (c.1965) of this buckle appears on p. 147 of WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penny Morrill.
