He began work under Master Wang Guan-Yu in 1987. Though young, his skills offer much promise for a brilliant future. His talents lie in reproducing Song Dynasty and other traditional landscapes and figures.

Chinese brush painting by Nie Ou. A well known female artist in China, she was born in 1948. She graduated from the Central Art Academy School in Beijing and has received several awards. Her work is shown worldwide. This is one of seven pictures we have. It is mounted on silk brocade. The entire area is 19 inches by 29 inches; the picture size is 13 inches by 18 inches.

From our Fine Arts and Americana Collection, an original oil on canvas by artist David Schluss entitled "Falling in Love." Though we need to confirm this with Schluss's publisher, we believe that "Falling in Love" was never made into any giclees, serigraphs, or prints of any kind, and thus it's quite possible that this original is the only image of this particular work in existence. Rare and complete book with text and prints by famous late Japanese print maker Tokio Miyashita 宮下登喜雄 (1930-2011)...

In the last year of Maki’s life, Daniel Tretiak tells us, he was ill but continued to work. He did lithographs on shikishi board, which was a hard board covered in white rice paper. The back was yellow with a small design in gold and the whole board is gold-edged. Poem 8B is one of those works done in the 1999-2000 period.
