An etching on paper, 7 1/4" by 5 1/4" inside the mat, 12 1/2" by 9 3/4" framed, signed at lower right in pencil by well-known New Orleans artist EUGENE F. LOVING (1908-1971). The print is titled at lower left, "Bourbon Street Patio", and bears the artist's notation "Ed/100" at lower center. Loving was a familiar figure on the New Orleans art scene for decades, painting and executing prints as well. A teacher as well, he was something of a father figure of sorts to other artists in the region...

The name seems to be of Czech origin, and I have not located information on the artist. There is evidence of very slight hand coloring in blue, yellow and pink...

Pierre Courtin in one of the most important master engravers of the 20th century.
